Nazaré-kløften, en naturlig formation, der laver et enormt dybt og stort hul i havbunden lige ved siden af kysten, skaber massive bølger, der gør dette sted, Praia do Norte, til et Meca for eventyrlystne surfere over hele verden. Kløften gemmer også på en nazistisk ubåd, som blev sænket der med vilje for aldrig at blive fundet igen... Vi vil også besøge Sanctuary og Memory Chapel, og vil være i stand til at få en betagende udsigt over Nazaré og en stor del af Silver Coast-kysten (hele vejen til Berlengas-øerne). Sidst, men helt sikkert ikke mindst, vil du også lære selve Nazaré at kende, en unik traditionel fiskerby, dens smalle gyder ud mod havet og dens gamle traditioner som "Tørfisken" og de forvirrende "seværdigheder ” af lokale kvinder iført deres berømte syv nederdele.

We had a great time on this private Tour of Nazare. Our tour guide, João Pedro gave us a great background of the history of this charming seaside fishing town which is now world famous for its huge waves in the winter. We visited many of the sites in the city ending at the famous lighthouse overlooking the huge surf beach. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting this beach city.

We had a fantastic experience with Joao Pedro (JP). He knows the town of Nazaré so well, having grown up in the town--and returning to live here after working abroad.
