Besøget på Frantoio Rosso Ipogeo giver fornemmelsen af at tage på en rejse gennem tiden: først da Puglia blev nedsænket af havet indtil det sidste århundrede, hvor olivenolie blev produceret. Ruten starter fra observation af marine fossiler sat i kalkstenen og går gennem de sene middelalderlige århundreder, hvor lygteolie blev produceret og eksporteret til Europa. Vi vil forstå produktionsfaserne og det udstyr, der blev brugt på det tidspunkt, og afslutte med oliemøllens sidste periode, hvor produktionen blev omdannet fra lamper og lygteolie til spiseolie.

Very, very small. Guided tour with headphones in 10 minutes. There were some nice pictures and a person. A good picture of how things used to go.
So much more than we expected! We appreciated the owner's hard work and research to restore this underground oil mill into a museum. We especially enjoyed his passion for sharing the history with others. The olive oil tasting experience was educational and so delicious!
Great little tour and olive oil tasting at the end. The owner has great passion for olive oil and the making of it. If we were staying longer we would have gone to one of the evenings music events. Nice small tour size.
A beautiful way to bring back to life an old underground crusher. Let yourself be transported by the words of Giuseppe and Samantha in a hidden world that smells of truth and sacrifice and the final tasting teaches us to understand and recognize the different characteristics of 'oil. An immersive experience not to be missed. Thank you. It was a pleasure.
The tour was booked in German, the guide speaks only English. and Italian. He was trying very hard but unfortunately not what we had booked
