My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our morning boat trip with our excellent guide Shaan. We were collected from our hotel by Shaan who then drove us to the riverside in his Tuk Tuk where our boat driver was waiting for us. The two hour trip through mangrove and open water was stunning. We saw crocodiles, bats, eagles, lizards and one of the highlights was feeding a troop of monkeys with bananas as they cautiously came down from the trees. As we disembarked the boat, we were kindly invited back to Shaan’s restaurant for a cup of tea. On discovering it was my birthday, Shaan had quietly messaged his brother back at the restaurant. What a lovely surprise, when I was presented with a beautiful cake complete with candles to enjoy with a pot of tea in bone china cups. This is a birthday I will never forget. Thank you Shaan it was brilliant

Shaan was the guide . He picked us up & also kindly dropped to the Hotel. He has done his job commendably. He explained each & every detail with great patience & left no stone unturned to make our trip memorable

Shan and Dinesh were informative, friendly and focussed on showing us all to be seen on the river with all questions well answered! We saw black faced monkeys large and small crocodiles water monitors and a variety of birds. Had an amazing time after adjusting departure due to naughty weather gods. Even enjoyed festival food from our tuk tuk on the way back to our villa

We had a wonderful boat trip through the mangrove forest. Ashen picked us up from our hotel right on time and gave us a very warm welcome. After a short drive, we boarded the boat, and thanks to his keen eye, he was able to show us the first wild animals after only a short time. We fed monkeys and saw crocodiles, various birds, and lizards. The excursion was truly fantastic and absolutely worth the money. Thank you very much!

We had an unforgettable morning with Shana with many downs and drives through the mangrove forests. Everything fit perfectly, thank you!

Fantastic river safari over 2 hours long along mangrove swamp river tributary .. exciting & stunning. Our guide Keveesha very friendly & knowledgeable genuine nice guy Spotted small crocks & lizards ... Then a huge 6 foot monitor lizard swam close to the boat WoW .. fed monkeys . Finally he spotted a monster crocodile resting along the river bank it was massive.. just like those on TV shows made my day ... Cheaper than other boat trips ... Well worth every penny.... Oops sorry rupee.. highly recommended.

A very enjoyable trip on the Bentota River. Pick up and return trip worked perfectly. We were pleased to be accompanied by Kaveesha who along with the Captain, helped with the bird, bats, crocodile spotting and provided lots of interesting information about the area. The scenery was beautiful and it was a lovely experience sailing through the mangroves. Highly recommended and great value.

The whole family's boat trip to River Safari can be described in one word as a trip to a zoo, but without cages. Amazing tour, we really enjoyed it, especially recommend families: the children will be delighted. My daughter loved it enough to get her two times. Shan, thank you, everything was great! For those who are going to Bentota it is highly recommended to visit the Bentota River tour by boat: the tour does not take long, but leaves many impressions. We had a family vacation, I loved it, but how much my daughter loved it, I can't tell you. Special thanks to our guide Shan, we all got excited about the tour and him)
