My wife and I had a great time at Benny’s cooking class Benny is a great teacher she has a great personality she took us to the market and explained all the different ingredients we will be using we cooked 5 dishes and they all were delicious (I suggest not eating before class) I recommend Benny to anybody that wants a fun and educational experience 10/10 we do recommend

Wow what a great experience. We had great experienced and very impressive from picked us up on time, went to the market picked up fresh ingredients. Then took us to the class that very well organized setting. Fresh herbs, flowers and fruits from garden. Benny, the instructor and helper were very clearly explaining about ingredients and herbs and all the spices that we used. The preparations were very clearly shown how and why not. The food that we prepared were very delicious and wonderful for the four of us. From aged 7, 39 and 73. Many thanks for Benny and her team.

We had the best time learning to cook Thai food with Benny and her kitchen fairies! We made spring rolls, noodles, grilled pork and steamed banana cake. All delicious and my girls (6 and 9) loved hanging out with you and shopping for ingredients at the market. Everyone had so much fun. Thai hospitality at its best. Benny’s Home Cooking was easily one of the best things I did in Chiang Mai. The entire experience went above and beyond from start to finish. The hosts, Benny and Nan, are incredibly gracious, funny, and clearly passionate about Thai cooking, which made the class both informative and genuinely fun. I received personal attention, and the instruction was clear and easy to follow—even if you’re not an experienced cook. What I really appreciated is that they don’t just walk you through recipes; they explain the why behind the ingredients and techniques, which makes it much easier to recreate the dishes later. All of the ingredients were fresh and beautifully organized, and getting to make curry paste from scratch was a highlight. The kitchen setup was excellent with individual cooking stations, and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We cooked several dishes, but it never felt rushed or overwhelming, and the meal at the end was fantastic (and very generous!). I also loved that they share the recipes so you can actually try everything again at home. If you’re in Chiang Mai and even remotely interested in Thai food, I can’t recommend Benny’s enough. It’s authentic, incredibly well run, and just a really joyful experience.

What an amazing day spent with fabulous, fabulous people! I can only echo what every review has said … Benny is a legend, a fabulous bundle of infectious energy. With her amazing team of kitchen fairies they make sure that you create the most amazing food in an idyllic environment. (Yes chef!) Our little team of 6 bonded instantly and shared items purchased at the market to sample. We bought the ‘century eggs’ and Benny and the fairies created a dish with them for us to try. Nothing is too much trouble, there is no rush and the class takes as long as it takes. This seriously was one of the highlights of our trip, we felt as though we had spent the day having fun with extended family. Sexy Benny … thank you, never change, you bring joy to everyone you meet x

We lucked out and got a private class! Benny and Nan are both so kind, welcoming, and energetic! They shared stories about their travels and lives and were eager to hear about ours. The food was delicious and recipes were approachable (with the help of kitchen fairies!). Come prepared to eat, laugh, learn and drink some beers! Would absolutely do again and recommend to any friends or family traveling through Chiang Mai.
