This was such a fascinating tour and Mark was an excellent guide. He gave us an in-depth, impartial history of the area and was very happy to answer our questions. We were a family of five and our children have been learning more since returning home. We would highly recommend Mark’s tour.
A really eye-opening experience on the history, politics and people of Northern Ireland. Mark was a brilliant guide, giving a comprehensive background of the history going back 400 years up to present day. Seeing the murals, monuments and peace walls with a guide who is Belfast born and lived through the some of the darkest days of the "Troubles" gave a rare insight. Mark was unbiased and factual on the events and the impacts on the people. A real testament to the courage and resilience of the people of Northern Ireland to come through that and still be so friendly, helpful and with great humour. A great way to end our trip.
We came into Belfast on a cruise ship and had arranged to be picked up at the cruiseport. We arrived at the meeting point a bit early and Jake was already waiting for us. He gave us an amazing, unbiased political tour. We learned so much about The Troubles from him. I highly recommend doing this tour.

Taxi under my name for party of 6 never showed up, but we were approached by another driver whose party of 6 did not show. Name mixup? Probably. Taxi was really for 5 people, so very tight -- not what I expected based on what we paid for the tour. Driver, Jacob, was very knowledgeable and helped me give the tour an average passing grade.
Hello Katherine, thank you for the review. Jacob was your designated driver, however, he got mixed up with the name for his booking later that day and your booking. We only provide tours in a Traditional London Hackney cab which accommodate up to six people. The authentic London hackney cab adds to the experience of the black taxi tour. Kind regards Mark.
Visiting student, took a tour with Mark and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, and so willing to answer my friend and I’s questions. Absolutely would recommend booking here, great value for a thorough and info-packed tour.

Mark was exceptional. Responded promptly to our query and collected us directly outside the hotel. My daughter mistakingly left her phone behind in the car. Mark went out of his way to contact us and returned the phone directly to us back at the hotel. An absolute gentleman.
Mark was a superb knowledgeable guide. We were unable to tell which “side” he was from until we asked him. So a fact based, interesting tour.
Just completed a tour with ‘big Mark’ and am absolutely flabbergasted. It was so informative, interesting and incredibly thought provoking. While presenting both sides fairly the biggest aspect was of the realisation that the troubles are far from over and unlikely to be so, possibly for generations, even if the rest of the world is unaware. It needs many more Mark’s to spread the word if any real lasting peace is to be achieved. Mark, keep up the good work and here’s to hoping that things change. Pickup was easy from our base and £60 for two, a bargain.
