Amazing!!!

Jolly was very professional and knowledgeable. She took her time to explain the different locations within the tour and answered all our questions.

Operatørens svar

We are delighted to read how much you appreciated guide Jolly’s work on your tour. Great guides make all the difference to a trip, and Jolly clearly delivered for you. Rather than rushing through the sightseeing route, she devoted ample time explaining each site and patiently cleared up every doubt your group had. It is very rewarding for us to know her detailed briefings helped you gain a deeper understanding of the places you visited. Thank you for sharing your experience. Should you travel to Beijing again, we would love to serve you once more.

Great tour of old Beijing

This was a very informative and interesting tour of some of the older parts of Beijing city. Unfortunately, it was spoiled somewhat for us as we had constant rain showers for the whole evening. We went back the next evening when it was better weather, and walked around again to take some photos. Sarah was a great guide, with excellent knowledge of the area and its history. She has a very animated approach to explaining things, with personality to spare! All good fun

Choose a different tour…not worth it

Save your ¥. You could do better by yourself. Leon was nice but found the tour to be stilted and stating obvious facts. We lasted about 45 mins and had to exit after we were mercilessly bitten by mosquitoes.

Great way to experience Beijing for newcomers.

Great way to experience Beijing for first time visitors. Our tour guide Sarah was very hospitable and showed us many interesting places like the bell and drum towers, as well as the more local food shops. She made lots of good conversation and treated us to tasty, authentic, hotpot at the very end. Overall, would highly recommend this tour.

Walking through Beijing!

Very good experience! Our guide Danny was wonderful and explained very well all the historical aspects of the points we passed. Unfortunately we left a little before the end because we were not very prepared for the cold that was making, but we liked quite while it lasted. She was very kind and knew how to control the group well, as many people ended up wanting to deviate from the scheduled route.

Review

Yang is the best guide I've ever had. His stories about Beijing and it's people are much more fun and interesting than guide in National museum.

Beijing by walk and talk

From a Bangkokian’s Perspective This morning, I had the opportunity to go on a walking tour around Qianmen with Jessica. I was her only tour group member today, but she welcomed me warmly and did a fantastic job as a guide. Her English is excellent, making all her explanations very easy to understand. Most general tourists only know Qianmen as a shopping street in Beijing, usually visiting as part of a group tour just to quickly snap some photos and buy souvenirs. But Jessica introduced me to a whole different side of Qianmen—its narrow alleys (hutongs) and rich history—sharing stories of the area like a true local expert. She explained the history of the Zhengyang Gate (Chenglou), built over 600 years ago to protect the imperial palace from enemies. She showed me the incredibly graceful and picturesque Sanlihe Park, and took me through a pedestrian market filled with shops that have been around for generations—whether selling tea, pork jerky, Beijing yogurt, or traditional Beijing-style breakfast. We wrapped up the tour by heading up to the 3rd floor of the PAGE ONE bookstore (Beijingfun Shop), which offers a stunning, elevated view to take in the beauty of Qianmen. Another one of her highlights is her negotiating skills! If you buy Beijing yogurt at tourist prices, you’ll easily get charged 15 RMB a bottle. But she managed to bargain it down to just 9 RMB for me—absolutely brilliant. On top of all that, she also helped take great photos and videos for me throughout the tour. If you enjoy a slow-life pace, want to get some steps in while admiring the beauty of Qianmen from a perspective most tourists miss, I highly recommend having Jessica as your guide. I can guarantee with absolute confidence that you will receive excellent insights and top-tier service from her!
