Beskrivelse

Exceptional guide - Manar

Manar was an extremely knowledgeable guide, having studied Egyptology. She is clearly very passionate about her country’s history and culture and was able to answer all of our questions. She gave us options and her preferences to help guide our tour which was very appreciated. She is kind and friendly and open for a chat even if not about the tour itself. 10/10 would recommend her as a guide.

Dear traveler, Reading this review with Manar's name in the title is the kind of thing that gives a brand its shape, and we want to start by responding to the phrase "having studied Egyptology" — that's the line that separates a guide from a narrator. A guide who studied Egyptology doesn't recite facts at you; she can answer the questions behind your questions, place a single carving on a wall inside three different time periods, and tell you which thread to pull if you want to go deeper. That's the standard we built the brand around, and Manar embodies it as clearly as anyone on our team. The second thing you wrote that we noticed: "She gave us options and her preferences to help guide our tour." That's the part of private guiding that doesn't show up in itineraries — knowing when to lead, when to ask, when to push toward a site that's not on the standard map, when to ease back. A two-day itinerary that includes Saqqara, Dahshur, the GEM, and the Giza plateau is already a deeper choice than most travelers make; the fact that Manar made it feel collaborative rather than scripted is what turns a strong itinerary into a memorable one. If Egypt brings you back, the natural next step from a trip like this one is the Upper Egypt arc — Luxor, Aswan, Abydos — with guides cut from the same standard as Manar. For now, thank you for the 10/10. We'll pass it to her directly, and she'll feel it personally. Thank you for the review — short and direct is sometimes the most useful kind for the next traveler scanning this page. — The Tree of Life Tours team

Unforgettable experience

An unforgettable experience! The pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum and the bazaars were incredible. Our guide, Nour, was knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptian history! He gladly answered all our questions and talked about their culture. He spoke great English. Everything was well organized, timely, and safe — highly recommend! Nour also happily offered to take photos for us at each stop, which was especially nice and much appreciated.

Operatørens svar

Dear traveler, The combination you described — "knowledgeable and passionate" — is the part of guiding that's hardest to hire for. Knowledge can be tested in an interview; passion shows up only on the road, around the fifth or sixth question of the day when most guides start defaulting to memorized answers and the good ones lean in instead. Nour clearly leaned in. The fact that he moved from history into culture without prompting — answering not just "what is this" but "what does it mean to us today" — is the difference between a tour and a conversation. We're glad you got the conversation version. The photo offering is worth a separate note. We can't put "your guide will offer to take photos for you at each stop" on the listing — guides who would do that anyway would find the request awkward if it was contractual, and guides who wouldn't would do it badly. So it has to come from the person, not the job description. Nour offering happily, without being asked, is what that quality looks like in practice, and it's one of the small things that turns a two-day itinerary into the photo album you'll actually open in five years. The "well organized, timely, and safe" line is the third thing we want to thank you for surfacing. Those three virtues are the operational baseline we work toward across every tour — they sound obvious until you've been on a Cairo tour where one of them is missing. When all three are quiet, the traveler doesn't think about them; they just enjoy the day. That's exactly what should happen. If Egypt brings you back, the natural next step from this itinerary — Giza, Sakkara, Dahshur, the GEM and Cairo across two days — is the Upper Egypt extension: Luxor, Aswan, Abydos, the temples and tombs that need their own multi-day window to do properly. For now, thank you for the unforgettable kind of review. We'll pass it to Nour directly. Wonderful!

Thanks to our guide Nour and our driver Mohammed who were great! Nour was full of resources and was able to marvel at the history of the country. We recommend this 2-day tour. Moreover, if you ever want to do more or less things, the guide can adapt to your needs. Thanks again!

— L'équipe de Tree of Life Tours

Our first days in Egypt

We would like to say a big thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ Fatima you've been an excellent tour guide, an excellent photographer and always took us to the best locations. We are very grateful to have spent our first 3 days here in Egypt with you and Usama (our driver). We couldn't have asked for better company and hospitality. We learnt a lot and this is all thanks to you. Lots of love from Triana and Axel. We will miss you

Great Cairo with Pyramids.

The tour was very interesting. The car was very comfortable. The explanations of the pyramids, the camel ride and the market in the center of Cairo were very well guided. The food during the tours were great. Thanks Rasha.

Amazing value for money

This private tour is well worth the money! Rania was amazing and knowledgeable. She and our driver were so accommodating and patient with us (including my 70 year old mum). I would 100% recommend this to anyone who has the time to do do 2 days or tour.

An Amazing Experience!

My favorite part of the experience was the pyramids and the museum. If you are new to the country, a tour is the way to go at least for the first few days. If you can manage a private tour, do it. My niece and I spent two days with Karam. The first day was dedicated to visiting three Pyramid sites. Karam very informative and showed great pride in his country. We got amazing pictures and learned about the construction of the great structures. Day two was spent visiting a Mosque with a panoramic view of the city, seeing the hanging church in the coptic city, visiting a bazar and the main Egyptian museum. It was a mind-blowing amount of information and the sense of history was life-changing. Karam remained available to answer questions about Egypt after our tour ended which was invaluable. Feel free to modify the order or content of your itinerary. It may cost more but you will be happiest that way on this one in a lifetime trip. Once again, ask for Karam!

Perfect 2 days in Cairo

This was our first time in Cairo, and these two days were really an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Amina, was really the best. She took us to beautiful places from undisturbed pyramids (where we were the only tourists) to busy markets, and meanwhile she constantly provided us historical background stories, architectual facts and many other interesting stories. I also find it very important to mention: with her we always felt safe, as she has provided us some good advice on where we can shop safely, pay with euros, or where to have a good coffee. Our driver was also very helpful, he was always there to pick us up, and he also surprised us with some fresh dates on our way back to the hotel. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a profound glimpse into Cairo in just two days. They also speak fluent english, and are very flexible.

Fatma Mohammed is the best

Fatma is the best tour guide I've ever encountered, professional, responsible and extremely passionate about touring. I learned so much about Egypt and the culture from her. I am so glad that I booked the trip with her. I should have book more days with her.

Great tour, great guide

I did the two day tour. My guide was Fatima. I dont remember my driver's name but was fantastic. Both were very friendly. I overslept one day and they were like "no worries" and just waited for me. They even encouraged me to eat breakfast. They were very patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour.
