Første sted i turen er panoramaudsigt over Goreme. Du får information om historie, dannelse af Cappadocia, mens du ser eventyrskorne. Efter oplysningerne, fritid for fotografi.
Efter kørsel omkring 40 minutter, ankomst til Underground City. Denne underjordiske by blev for det første brugt af lokalbefolkningen som en naturlig dybfrysning, senere af de sene romere som et hus mod potentielle arabiske invasioner. Ihlara Canyon er 52 km. væk fra underjordisk by. Omkring 45 minutter senere vil du være i indgangen til Ihlara Valley. Ihlara Valley blev dannet af vulkaniske handlinger af Mt. Hasan, ved siden af Ihlara-dalen. Derefter er Melendiz-floden udslettet dalen i millioner af år foruden lagene revnede og faldt ned. Til sidst blev 80 meter dybe canyon komponeret. Hele dalen er 14 km. længde. Tidligere levede kristne generelt i de flere dele af dalen; også skåret de kirker og malede dem. Du vil vandre omkring 3,5 km. Vandring vil vare 1 time 15 m. Derefter vil du ankomme til Restaurant til frokost
1 time til frokost i byen Ihlara. Du vil begynde med suppe og salat, senere vil du være i stand til at vælge en af de vigtigste retter fra listen. Lunsjen er slut med sæsonfrugter.
Vores tur fortsætter med et andet film-set-lignende sted, Selime Monastery. Ved første blik ser klosteret ud som et slot, men huse, kirker, kapeller, soveværelser, opbevaringssteder og stor katedral beviser os, at det er et kloster. Du får information om klostret i Cappadocia.
Klatring til Selime kloster vil udstødge dig, sandsynligvis. Men indtil du kommer til Pigeon Valley, vil du have omkring 1 time at hvile. Også vores guide vil nævne nogle traditioner, kulturer og historier om Anatolien på vej. Ved ankomsten til Pigeon Valley vil duer møde dig på toppen af dalen. Duer har altid været vigtige for kappadokiske folk. Deres æg og dråber blev brugt til forskellige formål. Af den grund skåret de lokale folk huse til dem til dalens skråninger. AMAZING! Do it!! I did the green tour with my wife on our honeymoon. We booked our Cappadocia trip for the hot air balloons, but this tour honesty is worth coming for alone! We were guided by Merve (marvellous) and our group had around 7 people. The Derinkuyu underground caves were one of the most fascinating places I’ve ever been- with the Selime Monastery an incredibly spiritual place. Also fantastic lunch! Merve was so knowledgeable and educational, and an awesome, fun energy throughout the day. Very grateful and will remember this tour forever!
Wonderful!! This brought our Cappadocia honeymoon to the next level. Merve (marvellous) was so passionate, kind, warm, funny and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and provided in depth insight into the culture, religion and history of Cappadocia. During the underground city tour she facilitated the flow of traffic and organisation within the caves. She infused our experience with many laughs and she went above and beyond with her hospitality. The tour took us to an onyx shop and a Turkish delight shop, both were not listed on the description. Our tour guides explaination was dry and difficult to understand. She also rushed us throughout all the sightseeing spots.
Selena was a great and accommodating guide who gave timely information. Suleiman was a smooth driver who made sure that our A/C is perfect for the weather. The coach was clean and wide! This was a relaxing and informative tour! I’d have skipped the stone/gem and fruit-nut shops though I understand that this helps promote local businesses. It would be nice to warn others to bring flip flops and small towels if they want to dip their feet in the stream at the end of the walk.

Loved how they were able to pick up and drop you back from your accommodation! This green tour took us to some great natural locations such as the Selime monastery, Ihlara valley and pigeon valley. Walking the Ihlara valley was nice. The only two things to note is that the stone spot was a shop to buy jewellery and bring water when it is hot.

Sedat was a really engaging guide and tried to talk to every one, while navigating some really crowded areas. The tour is really good value, you get entrances as well as skip the line and lunch was really nice (though there were a few wasps so beware if you're allergic like me). Remember to pack your own water as there will be stops but if you have no water there is nowhere to buy prior to that. If anything I would have liked more time to walk around Selime but I appreciate that mauly make the tour longer.
Stoneland organized our green tour and ballooning with Butterfly Balloons. Their communication was very good and both experiences were very professional and well organized. The green tour does require a fair amount of hiking and going up and down stairs and narrow passages in the underground city which was well worth it. The history and experience was amazing. Lunch was well organized, professional and tasty. The tour was about 10 hours with a reasonable amount of driving (2.5 hours? which was a good time to rest and learn about the next stop)- the driver was very safe
