Skip the City Wonders Sagrada Família tour! We paid over NZ$374 for our tour and it was a mess. The cathedral is amazing but the tour almost ruined our experience of it. After being told that we needed to bring passports, pick up tickets beforehand and arrive early to leave on time at 11.15 none of these things happened. The ticket office doesn’t exist, passports weren’t checked and even though 10 of us arrived 15 mins early our guide waited for a group of 15 American summer camp students and their camp counsellors who were late. After taking a good 25 minutes to even start the tour the guide then barked at them constantly - which we had to listen to in very poor quality headsets - about being late, drifting off, not listening and threatened to take their headsets off them which she eventually did (thankfully) after telling them off rudely (again). The tour was supposed to be in English but we, and other group members, found our guide very hard to understand with a very heavy accent and rapid fire repetitive info - almost impossible to follow. The information she shared we could have searched easily. Altogether a thoroughly disappointing experience. Although the cathedral itself is amazing. But we’d rather just have gone in alone and had no tour guide - just our own peace and quiet time with this incredible work of art, spirit and human achievement.

Experiencing Familia Sagrada with an experienced guide was one of the best sights we experienced in Barcelona. Tony was very knowledgeable about the history and added many fascinating details that enriched our tour.

Our guide Martha was very friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the information. The structure itself is stunning, and I would have missed and underappreciated the nuance and reasoning for many of the structures designs and architecture if I had gone in without a guide
Excellent informative tour by the guide
We were at the meeting location at the tour time but in a very crowded area. The tour operator didn’t text or call me so we had to google search the phone number after 10 min of trying to find a number to call, we were told the tour had left and they refused to call the tour guide. It couldn’t have been more than a few minutes after they left. I’ve been on multiple tours and the guide always calls if you aren’t at the meeting point prior to leaving you. In many cases you just can’t find the guide. This was not the case. No calls, no text and no way to contact them! Don’t book with City Wonders!!

As stated on your voucher, all clients are required to arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Because our tours include timed-entry tickets to the venue, the group must depart strictly on time to guarantee admission, and missed tours cannot be refunded. Additionally, detailed meeting point instructions and maps are clearly provided on the voucher to help guests locate the staff in crowded areas. We regret that you missed your slot, but these arrival windows are essential for the tour to run on schedule for all guests.
Never contacted by tour operator. Looked for guide for 10 min. Finally googled the tour co phone number to try to get in contact. Was told they left already and would not refund tickets. Other tours I’ve been on, the guide or company calls you before they leave for situations just like this. Don’t do this tour with CITY WONDERS. I’ve been in Europe for 11 days doing multiple tours through Viator. This is the ONLY TOUR that didn’t try to call me nor gave me a phone number to reach them.

Once the group has entered, the tickets are no longer valid for later admission, and we are unable to delay entry. As this is a group tour, we also have a responsibility to the other guests who arrived on time and cannot hold the entire group or penalize the remaining participants. While we are are not always able to contact every guest who has not arrived, our team is available through these channels to assist.
