Decided to book this at the last minute as I had only arrived at Bangkok a few hours prior. I did not regret it! Sophie was a fantastic guide. She introduced us to really great food spots in Chinatown, and even got some history about Thailand/Bangkok as a bonus! I highly recommend this food tour :)

Amazing food tour. Best food I’ve had here. The tom yum soup was insane. Really great tour guide. Perfect thing to do to also learn about the history of the city! Highly recommend

We had an excellent experience, the food was great, the atmosphere was very festive because we went on Chinese New year. Our guide Sopa was so sweet and knowledgeable. She made us feel like we were just going out with another friend.

This was a wonderful experience. Not only was the food fabulous but the tour guide was spot on. She met us in a convenient location right off the MRT with water in hand to begin our journey. With multiple stops each with their own flare, feel, and delicious fragrance ranging from savory to sweet. Some, to be expected flavors such as pad Thai and mango sticky rice and some amazing surprises that will keep our mouths watering for more (you will have to do the tour to find out). If you’re looking for a fun evening and delectable food then this is the tour for you.

Unfortunately we had a poor experience with this tour and the guide Bomb. We experienced significant delays during the tour and had to resort to looking at temples rather than eating as out tables were not ready. Whilst some minor delays between eating places would be ok, we waited in the streets for over 90 minutes in total, some people left because of this. We also could complete the tour in the order that is was supposed to be so ended up eating desert early in the evening to kill time. Bomb our host tried his best, but seemed inexperienced to deal with the situation and his English was not great so we didn’t really learn much about the dishes served. We have since been told the delays were due to it being “a busy time of year”. Not really an acceptable response in my opinion. We have completed many food tours before and have never experienced such delays.

We understand how frustrating the long waiting times were, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. The restaurants included in our tour are carefully selected as they are our best picks for the menu and authenticity of the experience. Unfortunately, these popular local restaurants do not allow advance reservations, especially during peak periods, which can result in unexpected delays. I would also like to acknowledge your comments regarding the tour flow and the guide. Bomb did his best under challenging circumstances, but we recognize that the situation required more experience and clearer communication. Your feedback will help us improve both guide training and tour management in busy periods. As requested, we have processed a partial refund, and we hope this reflects our goodwill and understanding of your disappointment. Once again, I am very sorry that the tour did not live up to your previous food tour experiences. This food tour was a lot of fun with Sophie. She was very nice and informative about a lot of local life, traditions and life style. We ate at a lot of small local places, not frequented by a lot of tourists (except the last place). She was very generous, buying us a few extra treats about which we expressed enthusiasm (but was not a part of the tour). We all had fun. She even took us to a different temple, not on the tour and gave some historical perspective. Highly recommend.
