Banganga Walkeshwar Walk er flankeret af en smal gade med templer, boliger og dharamsalas (religiøse hvilehuse). Det danner ruten for den hellige parikrama, en gåtur rundt om tanken til fods, som hinduer mener har enorme rensende fordele. Der er også en dhobi ghat, som er Mumbais mest berømte udendørs vaskeri.

Indtrængende migrantsamfund: Området er hjemsted for slumbeboere, der har besat det i de sidste par årtier. 8. Dhobi Ghat: Næststørste vaskeri i Mumbai, hvor du vil se Open air vaskeri, som blev bygget af briterne.

I attended the Banganga walk organized by Khaki tours on 10th July. It was a great experience visiting a place in Mumbai where it seems like time has stood still. The surroundings around the Banganga tank haven't changed much since the last 100-150 yrs. It still resembled the pictures which were taken a century ago. Even the lifestyle of people in that area hasn't caught up with the hustle and bustle of rest of the Modern Mumbai. You could feel a slow and calm pace that's inherent in this area. Overall an enriching experience.
