Kun otte steder i verden produceres vulkanske vine. Tænk bare på den romantik, der omgiver vine, der dyrkes i jord, der er født af smeltet jord og aske. Vulkanisk jord udgør kun 1 procent af verdens overflade, men bidrager med en meget større procentdel af verdens store vinmarker. Vulkaniske vine har betaget eventyrlystne vinelskere, der ønsker at chokere deres ganer med noget andet. Dette er en mikroproduktionsvin fra de vulkanske Azorer-øer i det nordlige Atlanterhav. Den dyrkes i vulkansk basalt ved havoverfladen, mindre end 50 m fra Atlanterhavet. Dette terroir og blandingen af varianter gennemsyrer denne vin med en utrolig mineralitet og renhed, såvel som umiskendelige stenede smage, saltholdighed og en velsmagende karakter, mineralitet og vulkanske vine går hånd i hånd. Great wine tasting featuring Azorean wines and local specialties (sausages, cheese, bread, olives, and cake). A very exclusive experience, as the tasting was held just for the two of us. For a very reasonable €25, we were picked up from our accommodation and driven back afterwards. The drive itself turned into a small island tour with stunning viewpoints and plenty of great recommendations. Warm, welcoming, humorous, and delicious throughout. Absolutely recommended!
We really enjoyed the scenic wine tour, with the last stop at Victor and Helia's home base, which is set up perfectly to host outdoor parties. We learned a lot about the island, wine & food culture, and especially Terceira's tradition of Tourada à corda. Victor provided invaluable information for recommendations around the entire island for sites and restaurants. Thank you again for your hospitality!

If I could give this tour 10 stars I would.. Vítor, our tour guide was so friendly, funny and informative. We ended the tour with a delicious Portuguese feast all prepared by his lovely wife. This is an amazing couple, do not hesitate to book this tour and we can’t wait to come back!

This was a fantastic tour. Victor is a wonderful tour guide. His years of experience is evident with the level of customer service provided. After the driving tour and stops at several locations, he and Hélia took us into their home for a feast meats, cheeses, homemade jams, and dessert with a wonderful discussion of the country and its traditions. Victor has a couple different tours including a military history tour that we were able to get a little of just because of the questions we were asking. We absolutely recommend this experience.

Excellent tour with Vitor, personable and knowledgeable guide. We visited the wine museum, tasted some fortified wine, viewed the vines, stopped by the natural pool and had a tasting of three wines hosted by Vitor and his wife and accompanied by cod fish cakes, cheese plate, freshly grilled sausage, and Dona ameilda cake.

The tour was fantastic. It wasn't just about the wine, we learned so many things about the island, land, culture and food. Our guide answered so many questions we had. The highlight was the meal at the end of the tour. Very casual, warm and the food was fantastic. I can't recommend the tour enough.
