Autentisk Omani Home Dining

I booked the performance on March 5th for March 14th. Having not received confirmation by the claimant on March 12, 2022, I cancelled in order to be refunded. I think this service has not been performed by the provider since the beginning of the Covid pandemic because there are no more notices. Tripadvisor should remove it from the catalog.

Authentic Omani Home is a great way to experience true Omani culture up close. Everyone was so friendly and gracious and the food was outstanding! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do something unique.

We booked a diner at the house of Omani people and started with the local coffee and dates and introduced each other in their living room. We had nice dicsussions and talked with the whole family. Then the diner was served outside and we had tradionally food together. Really a nice and interesting to do as excursion instead of eating in a restaurant.

We had the fortunate experience of having a wonderful dinner with an Omani family through Zayr.om last night! My family and I had a great time and completely enjoyed the hospitality of Rahman and her family. The hosts went above and beyond to make our evening special with an overview of Omani traditions, henna, food explanations, and much more. The food choice were extravagant and I can honestly say was one of the best meals I have had in Oman. Thank you Zayr for a great time!

We were met at our hotel by Hamed and driven through Muscat to his home where we met his wife Wiaam. Both are well travelled and we had a very interesting evening discussing Omani culture and daily life. A delightful couple who went out of their way to make us welcome. They also stayed in touch during our trip around Oman and helped out with a couple of queries that we had along the way. The food was excellent and we would thoroughly recommend signing up for this experience.

Everything about this experience was fabulous. Mohammed picked us up and gave us interesting facts about Oman on the way to dinner. Our dinner hosts were warm and welcoming. Food was abundant and delicious! This is a must-do for Muscat visitors.

My cousins, godson, and a family friend attended an evening last week with a wonderful Omani family through the founder, Hamed and Zayr Experiences. I am so incredibly grateful we found this opportunity. I know those who joined me feel the same. We could not say enough about the food and I tried at least a little bit of everything that they had on the table and I loved it all. We were so completely full at the end of the meal, but in a good way. While our American family is a wide mix of folks who grew up and lived in Saudi Arabia, Czech Republic, and Guatemala, all of us felt the fragrances and tastes of each course (and there were about 15!) were unique, complex, and flavorful. I should point out that our host family was incredibly gracious, very friendly, and engaging, and we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived at their door until they walked us out to our car. In short, I would do this again and contact Hamed the next time we head to Muscat, Oman. An evening like this is a ribbon-winner.

We were lucky enough to be able to participate in this experience. From the moment we entered the house, to the moment we left we were treated like honoured guests. The family was so friendly and hospitable and the food was delicious! They were kind enough to have cooked many different dishes, starters and mains- there was something for everyone. I would highly recommend this experience- it is unique, and you really feel like you have had a good insight into Omani culture. Only negative might be the price- it is slightly high as the Omani currency is so strong.... however I would say it is worth it
