Atlas Mountains Day Tour med Camel Ride

A fantastic experience, camels are the best! Hisham was the ideal host and tour guide and we would recommend him to anyone who is tempted to experience the desert at its best.

We started with a camel ride, having visited the wonderful Berber village. We then trekked in the foothills of Toubkal mountain for a couple of hours walking with our wonderful guide, Mohamed Sarkozi - such a lovely and engaging man. He delivered us to a riad for a fine lunch before walking and talking with us as we returned to Imlil to meet our driver for the return to Marrakesh. A truly wonderful day - Thank you Mohamed.

We spent two days with Toubkal driver Hisham going to the Ouzoud waterfalls, Agafay desert to ride camels, and Imlil for a guided day hike. The experiences were all awesome on their own but I cannot speak highly enough about our driver Hisham. He made us feel so comfortable with his professional enthusiasm, perfect English, and wonderful recommendations. We can’t wait to go back to Marrakesh and highly recommend Toubkal to book your excursions. Just make sure to ask for Hisham!

My wife, daughter and I took this tour and had the best day of our holiday in Morocco. We were picked up from near our Riad in Marrakech by our driver, Ibrahim, who was friendly, immensely helpful, fantastically knowledgeable about everything we saw that day and imperturbably calm while negotiating our passage through the frantic Marrakech traffic. We went first to the Agafay Desert to ride the camels. It was huge fun. After that we drove across the Kik Plateau to Imlil, where we were introduced to our guide for the hike, also called Ibrahim, who patiently led us first to a spectaular waterfall and then on up to a Berber village for mint tea and a much-needed rest. It was not a difficult climb but, if like me, you spend most of your year sitting at a desk it’s a thorough work-out. From there to the guesthouse where we had lunch, the route is along unmade roads, a much easier progress than the initial clamber. After a good lunch of chicken tagine, salad, bread, olives and fresh fruit while looking at spectacular views down the valley, the descent back to Imlil was a relaxed stroll through beautiful countryside in warm February sunshine. The drive back to Marrakech followed a different route to that of the morning, providing fresh sights of interest. I would unhesitatingly recommend Toubkal Guide to anyone who wants a really nice day trip.

Friendly and helpful (they inserted at our request a stop at the Berber market on Saturday in Asni) I would recommend them without hesitation. Everything was perfect with special mention for the “chez l’habitant” lunch and for the camel ride. The real asset was our driver / guide, Abdul Z.: nice and very good, he took care of my eighty-year-old mom with a sweetness out of the ordinary and taught us to eat couscous with milk, the Berber way. Bravo, bravo, bravo!

Abdul Z. was a great driver navigating the winding roads in the Atlas Mountains in comfortable, private car. Appreciated the on time pick up and drop off at raid. Enjoyed the camel ride and hike in Imil. Husband enjoyed the camel ride more than I expected! Perfect way to recharge after a few days in the city. Lunch was delicious, too. Thank you for a wonderful day!

We did the day trip with Abdul Z. Fantastic and safe driver who knows his way around. He checks on us to make sure we are ok. He brought us to Agafay desert and knows the best spots The lunch cooked by local Berber family was authentic and fresh! Local settings for the experience

We booked a 1 day tour with this company to trek from Imlil to Sidi Chamharouch. The driver Yassin arrived at our hotel before the prearranged time. He was very courteous and friendly during the whole time on the way there and back to the hotel. Ibrahim we met in Imlil was fantastic. He was a very experienced guide so he knew when to walk and when to pause. The lunch at the Guesthouse was absolutely delicious and plentiful. All in all we had a great time with this company and we can highly recommend them for any types of hiking/trekking in Atlas Mountains.

We had a lovely day out and it felt like we got the full Moroccan experience! Our driver Abdul was nice and friendly and communication was good regarding pick up times etc. On the way to Atlas Mountains we had a camel riding experience which was fun and we liked the traditional outfits. We then went to an Argan oil place and had a snack which was great before we went on our trek through the mountains - which actually went really quickly as the place was so beautiful. Overall everyone was friendly and we really enjoyed the experience :-)

very interesting trip with tour of the Afgay desert in 4x4 on dirt road and mountain trekking. The pilot/guide Abderrahim made several stops to allow us to take photographs in the most scenic places giving us also a lot of information about the countries we crossed. Arriving in Imlil we met the local guide Hadim who took us to the mountains for a route of about an hour and a half. During the trip you will visit villages and admire waterfalls. Along the way you can drink prepared orange juices directly under the waterfall. You walk through walnut forests and apple orchards. At the end of the walk you will have lunch in a very nice guesthouse with simple and exquisite Food and Service. The staff is very kind and very knowledgeable and speaks English. Recommended especially because there is a world to discover not too far from Marrakech
