Orgov Radio-Optical Telescope, også kendt som ROT54 eller Herouni Mirror Radio Telescope, er et radioteleskop i Orgov, Armenien. Det blev bygget mellem 1975 og 1985 og var aktivt mellem 1986 og 1990 før dets brug blev stoppet. Det var igen i drift indtil ophør i 2012. Efterfølgende er der gjort mange forsøg på at gendanne og genstarte ROT54.
Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO) blev grundlagt i 1946 på initiativ af akademikeren Victor Ambartsumian, der blev den første direktør for observatoriet. Det er beliggende på den maleriske sydlige skråning af bjerget Aragats. På observatoriet er der installeret 12 observationsinstrumenter, de større er 2.6 m Cassegrain teleskop og 1 m Schmidt teleskop. Videnskabelige undersøgelser af observatoriet er hovedsageligt relateret til de ustabilitet fænomener, der finder sted i universet.

We visited Byurakan Observatory and the Viktor Hambardzumyan Museum two days ago, and we absolutely loved the experience! It was something completely different from the usual tourist attractions in Armenia and one of the most interesting places we visited during our trip. The observatory itself has a special atmosphere. It was fascinating to learn about Armenian astronomy, the history of the observatory, and the incredible work of Viktor Hambardzumyan. The museum was especially interesting, with many stories and personal items that helped us understand his life and achievements. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and enjoyable. We never felt bored, even though we are not experts in astronomy. We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, the beautiful views, and the opportunity to discover a different side of Armenia. If you are looking for something unusual, educational, and memorable, we definitely recommend visiting Byurakan Observatory and the Viktor Hambardzumyan Museum. A big thank you to everyone who made this visit so enjoyable! We would happily recommend it to other travelers.
