Turen starter fra dit hotel, en chance for at tilbringe en dejlig dag ud af Rom for at besøge Umbrien, en af de mest maleriske regioner i Italien rig på vinmarker, oliventræer og de berømte bakketop landsbyer. En af de mest berømte er Assisi, et UNESCOs verdensarvssted. Den mystiske by Saint Francis, omgivet af sine gamle mure, blev bygget på de grønne skråninger af Mount Subasio og med sine farverige huse af sten, smalle gader, blomstrende balkoner og ædle paladser giver smukke udsigter til mindeværdige billeder (glem ikke dit kamera ). Et interessant besøg i St. Francis Basilica, med sine tidlige renæssance mesterværker af Giotto og Cimabue, og basilikaen Santa Maria degli Angeli. Et interessant besøg på St. Francis-basilikaen med sine tidlige renæssance-mesterstykker af Giotto og Cimabue og basilikaen Santa Maria degli Angeli. Basilika of Saint Mary of the Angels, Efter Saint Francis død i 1226 byggede frierne flere små hytter rundt om Porziuncola. I 1230 blev en refektory og nogle tilstødende bygninger tilføjet. Dome of Orvieto er en af de smukkeste italienske katedraler, et mesterværk af den gotiske arkitektur i centrum af Italien. Elisabetta was a wonderful guide and when she handed us off to Victoria at the entrance to Assisi, the trip went up a notch. I have personally been there two times before and did not have as thorough an explanation for all of the artistry as I did this time. We were comfortable in the car ride and there was only four of us for the day trip so it was very personalized. I would not hesitate to recommend it 100%.

Fantastic Day in Assisi! Juliana and her driver were the best! Picked up my wife and me at 7 a.m. at our hotel and headed out for a great day in Assisi. Juliana was a wonderful guide - very thoughtful and allowed us to move at our own pace. In Assisi, we had a guide who walked us through the town and churches - explaining everything in detail. After a nice lunch, we stopped by Orvieto for a brief tour. Beautiful church. Highly recommend this tour and Juliana!

A most enjoyable tour with an excellent guide, Antoinette, and rich content. Information provided was clear and interesting, and delivered well. The pace of the day was carefully managed. We never felt rushed but the program timing was maintained and we returned to Rome as scheduled.
