San Francesco var en ekstraordinær mand, og i denne tur lærer vi at kende de steder, hvor han boede, og hvor han hviler i dag. Sammen vil vi gå til opdagelsen af en mand og en ekstraordinær by.

Begravelsessted for St. Clare bevarer korsfæstet San Damiano, der talte til St. Francis. Selv i perioder af mob fascineres af sin enkelhed og mystik, der kommer fra.
Stedet for dåben i San Francesco samt en af de mest fascinerende romanske kirker i Umbrien. Dens facade er en bog, der endnu skal fortolkes for mængden og kvaliteten af de fantastiske figurer, der pryder det!
Bygget i 1600-tallet og derfor "nyt" bevarer det resterne af det formodede fødested San Francesco, som tilhørte hans far Pietro Bernardone.
Byens "stue" viser resterne af det gamle tempel Minerva, nu kirken Santa Maria sopra Minerva, og paladserne i den gratis middelalderlige kommune: Palazzo dei Priori, del Capitano del Popolo
Den officielle biografi af Saint Francis, der er malet af Giotto og butikken, læses som en åben bog, hvorigennem man kender livet og arbejdet hos den saint, der har "refounded" den middelalderlige kirke. Et af de absolutte mesterværker af kunst hele tiden og UNESCO-patronage som hele byen Assisi.

I denne periode vil der blive afsat mere tid til at besøge andre franciskanske steder i byen, uden at det går ud over den overordnede ånd i den tur, der tilbydes de besøgende.

We had Monia M for our guide of Assissi. She is clear, kind, and flexible. My mother has limits on how much she can walk at a time and she expertly helped adapt to having a wheelchair and driver along. We learned a lot, saw a lot and especially enjoyed the church of St Francis. Thank you Monia.
