We had time to kill before the nearby sumo show, so came in at 1830. Our group were the only people in and we found the session calm and peaceful and almost recharging. We did the fan option, which involves practicing on paper first after being taught how to do the basic strokes. Although painting on a fan is more difficult than I imagined due to the uneven surface, so my paper efforts were better! Staff were friendly, informative and spoke English well. You get free postcards to send overseas that they will send for you. Glad we took this break in our day.
thank you for spending time with us and hope you guys enjoyed the sumo show ! looking forward to see you in here again !
Perfect experience. Included a short presentation about the history of kanji Lesson on how to create the ink, hold the brush, and do different strokes Plenty of practice sheets to try different kanji before writing onto a fan I wanted to write my family name in kanji and sensei Mana wrote out the kanji with all the different stroke order, so I could learn it! Fantastic, thank you
Sarii san! Thank you for visiting us. What a beautiful fan you've created. Thank you for the wonderful time!
Our instructor was very patient in teaching us the art of calligraphy, he offered us green tea which was sweet. He also wrote down our names in Japanese and told us the meaning. I overly enjoyed this experience and my fan didn't turn out half bad id say! As well as this we learnt the history about kanji and the written languages of Japan.
Thank you for visiting us! Your calligraphy is sooo good! Really! I like it, please keep it! Arigatou
We did an afternoon learning about the history of the calligraphy and then getting to practice ourselves and learn how to do the art, it was very relaxing and interesting and I would highly recommend!

The instructor, Mana (Love) is very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. My wife and I had a great time (she is not stop watching your time). Her English is good. The location easy to find, it was a good experience.
Thank you for visiting us! I'm so happy to hear that. I will be very happy if it will be wonderful memory of your trip to Japan! Mana
It was a unique experience. I was fun and calming (really). The staff was very good and welcoming. It’s worth to give this experience a try when you visit Tokyo.
Thank you for coming us. We're so happy to hear that, please come again!
A must-go for a souvenier from Japan! They are very nice and knowledgeable here. The workers will guide you through the history of Kanji, and help you learn and practice so you can write your own! Then, you can create a T-shirt with your own design. It's a very easy process and a very fun experience!
Thank you for visiting us. We're so glad you to hear that . Your calligraphy is so amazing!!
