Din gruppe med minimum 2 personer kan glæde sig over en tidlig morgen afhentning fra din bolig for at være ved porten af Arusha National Park ca. kl. 10:00. Drevet til parken er kort; kaffeplantager og småbyer med travlt dagligliv holder dig underholdt i de 50 minutter, det tager, indtil du går på en grusvej og begynder at stige op mod parkporten. Her kommer en bevæbnet ranger til at deltage, før han går ud over åbne sletter til din afslappede morgenvandringssafari i skyggen af Mt Meru. På vej op ad Mt. Meru opstigningsvej giver et interessant perspektiv på at se dyreliv med fantastisk panorama af parken nedenfor. Når du er tilbage ned ved porten, kør den korte afstand til Momella Lakes til en picnic frokost (ekstra omkostninger på $ 10 USD). Her kan du nyde en kano safari (valgfri) på søen eller fortsætte med eftermiddags spildrev gennem parken i et afslappet tempo. Sidste eftermiddag forlader parken til hovedet tilbage til din bolig.
Mount Meru er en sovende stratovolcano beliggende 70 kilometer vest for Kilimanjaro-bjerget i landet Tanzania. I en højde af 4.562,13 meter er det synligt fra Kilimanjaro-bjerget på en klar dag og er det femte-højeste bjerg i Afrika, afhængig af definition.

This was our first of 6 safari locations spanning Arusha National Park, Tarangarire, Ngorngoro Crater, and Central Serengeti. A great introduction to Tanzania's warm culture and the beautiful animals. Our guide Julius was informative, interesting, fun, and made us feel safe the entire day. Although a little further away than we saw at the other parks, we did see giraffes, colobus monkeys, zebras, Cape Buffalo, and a hippo! Baboons were also plentiful and entertaining. Lunch overlooking the lake was very good and water through the day was plentiful.

<p>Took the tour the last day of my 1 week trip, flying out at 8:50pm, tour lasted 7:30am - 5pm, paid the tour company to drop me off at The airport at the end of the tour. Worked out perfectly. </p> <p>After a six day safari visiting Serengeti, ngorongoro, tarengeri and lake manyara, I was not expecting much. But it is beyond my expectations! The walking safari was the highlight. We were lucky to run into a family of 5 giraffes right at the start of the walking tour. It's amazing walking on soft grass grounds, 10 meters from giraffes, 50 meters from a few buffaloes, with another huge herd of buffaloes 100 meters away on the other side of a small creek, with mountain meru as the background There are also a lot of sighting of baby giraffes, in addition to flamingos lake, hippos lake, lot of monkeys. It's mostly a rain forest, very different look from the other parks. A great way to end my first safari! </p> <p>My guide was amazing. It's low season, I was the only guest in the car, just like a private tour. Highly recommended!</p>
