Træd ind i Madeiras vidunderlige verden, mens vores rejse starter ved Largo do Miranda, hvor du har en smuk udsigt over øerne Funchal og Desertas. Derefter stiger vi op til de høje højder af Pico do Arieiro, der står majestætisk på 1818 mts, med betagende landskaber til Ponta de São Lourenço, Ribeiro Frio og Paúl da Serra. Vores eventyr tager os til Santo da Serra, hvor vi vil nyde en unik off-road oplevelse, inspireret af naturen. Dernæst Santa Cruz med dens traditionelle terrasseudsigt, der afslører det symbiotiske forhold mellem lokalbefolkningen og deres land som et vidnesbyrd om madeiras bønders modstandskraft og opfindsomhed. The trip was amazing...definitely worth every penny. But I must say that our tour guide Miguel made our trip enjoyable...very knowledgeable, spoke English fluently. Knew his stuff about the island's history, tge floral, fauna...got our adrenaline pump on the off road part of the journey as well as down through the narrow back streets on our way back to Funchal. Would definitely recommend this trip... PS: Wouldn't recommend it for people with back problem. Thanks Miguel and Duarte.

We joined the trip and sat in the back raised seating area of the jeep, it soon became apparent that the roof was dangerously close to our heads, plus there was a bar right above us. My seatbelt had about 18 inches of slack in it and could not be adjusted, then a further 4 people were picked up, making it very claustrophobic. We (and two other couples) asked if the roof was coming off and we were told “no”. As we have done various other off roading trips with true spirit we knew we would be very uncomfortable and be banging our heads, which is not right. We love the off roading aspect of these trips which is why we booked it but the roof on element of this trip made it both unsafe and claustrophobic. Sadly we departed the jeep at the last stop and walked back to our hotel. Very disappointed and upon checking the website I booked on, the trip is very clearly misrepresented. Despite making numerous attempts to contact the company they are merely ignoring my messages for any refund

The Land Rover Defender 110 used on our tours is fully certified for 8 passengers, safely and comfortably distributed according to the manufacturer’s standards. The roof is made of canvas, so it poses no danger to our guests, and the bar you mentioned is a safety feature designed to ensure greater vehicle stability and passenger protection. Regarding your comment about the roof, please note that it remains closed while driving on fast roads, as required by safety standards and also because many customers request it for greater comfort and protection from wind. The seatbelt could simply have been adjusted — our guides are always available to assist with this kind of issue at any time during the tour. You also mentioned that you had joined several True Spirit tours before, which shows that you previously enjoyed our service and the quality of our experiences. In this case, it seems the main concern was about sitting in the rear part of the vehicle, which for many of our guests is actually the most preferred and panoramic seats. Finally, we would like to inform you that we are unable to offer any refund, as you left the experience shortly after it began, leaving the two reserved places empty, there was no early cancellation of your booking. Amazing trip, amazing views, camacho was a amazing guide we learned a lot about madeira and much more :). I would definitely recommend.
Was very nice and relaxed and we were in interesting places. The views along the way were beautiful. We also went to places where you don't go so fast yourself.
Super fun tour, lots of explanations by Diogo Camacho, nice off road route driven and therefore seen a lot. Of course also stopped for freshly made Poncha (or something without alcohol, especially for Diogo😁)
Robert guided my wife and I on it excellent 4 x 4 off-road experience! Robert was knowledgable in lots of flowers, plants and trees throughout the whole tour
Great experience. Fantastic views and knowledge from Camacho on our tour. We had so much fun on the back of the open top taking in all the scenery.
The tour was fantastic. Gil our tour guide was great fun and really knowledgeable about the island’s history, local culture and traditions and also plant life, even stopping to pick wild fruit for us to try. There were lots of laughs and my 9 year old son had a wonderful time too. Highly recommended. Thank you Gil for a really special experience.
Great tour, sadly weather not on our side at the top of mountain so didn't witness great views but worthwhile all the same. Off road fun, great stop offs on the east coast with amazing views of cliffs and the bay. Fabulous Poncha! Michael great driver on very windy roads!
