Payless was the tour operator. Their driver didnt pick us up on the way back. Also, the lunch was a really small and cheap portion.

Very disappointing and, above all, poorly organized experience. Before the dive, the instructors explain very little about what to do and safety procedures, while they spend much more time explaining the costs of photos and videos. After about 2 hours of waiting, the dive lasts just 5 minutes and is practically used only to take photos, even though we had not requested them. We did not feel free to explore or to really enjoy the experience. Furthermore, some of the instructors seemed very young, perhaps barely 15 years old, and this, combined with the little attention to the explanations, did not make us feel safe during an activity that should convey professionalism and tranquility. The excursion then lasted about 2 hours longer than expected. The return was at 4:30 PM, but we arrived home at 8:00 PM, and the only thing they sold on the boat were drinks and chips (1 Coke and 1 bag of chips a whopping 600TL an absurd price). During the day the police also arrived for some checks, causing further waits and inconvenience to many people on board. The management of the situation was unclear and poorly organized. The lunch was also disappointing: a little rice and half a cutlet, a truly scarce quantity. And the environment was quite dirty, full of flies everywhere. In the end we decided to refuse the second dive, because after this whole experience we no longer felt comfortable continuing. Overall, we had the impression that the activity was much more oriented toward selling photos and videos than offering a real underwater experience. I would not do it again and I do not recommend it.

I regret having paid for this excursion for several reasons. The organization was extremely slow and confusing from the start: long wait in the full August sun around 10 a.m., very little information given to the participants, then distribution onto three crowded, noisy boats filled with smoke from compulsive smokers. On board, packed like sardines, extras not mentioned in the ad (purchase of a mouthpiece, 5€/300 tl), music blasting practically all day, including during the meal. Impossible to enjoy a quiet moment between the techno and the people who were smoking around us, including while we were eating. I was in group 6, the last group, with only three people. No one called me or really informed me about the organization or the time our initiation was going to start. I finally had to ask myself when we were going to be able to dive. I had, however, taken my precautions before leaving: light breakfast and good hydration given the heat. Despite this, after having waited a long time under a scorching sun, I started to have a migraine, nausea, feeling faint, and diarrhea. I spent a large part of the day lying on the upper deck where the non-Turkish speakers had to go. I spent my time looking for a little shade and air without nicotine. I finally swam for about ten minutes and I decided not to do the dive. I had explained to a member of the team that I was sick and nauseous, but I was encouraged nonetheless to "try anyway." For a first initiation to diving, I would have expected much more caution from the staff. The meal was also very disappointing: a small portion of cold spaghetti with tomato sauce, a few raw vegetables, about half of a small ground chicken patty, and a piece of bread. Drinks were extra. Photos and videos of the dive were also offered insistently at very high prices (30€🤯). On board, I paid about €11 for an iced tea, a bag of chips, and a small bag of candy just to hold me over until 8 p.m., the time we finally arrived at the port (the 8-hour excursion was supposed to end much earlier). The problem is therefore not simply that I couldn't go diving because I was sick. Even setting aside my health condition, the organization, the wait times, the lack of information, the noise, the smoke, the heat, and the upsells made this day extremely painful. I have been on many excursions in Turkey and other countries and I found them incomparably more pleasant and better organized. The only pleasant moment was the return to the port in the evening (photo). Even the return bus was chaotic because there were too many people and some had to get off to wait for a solution. The children were crying on the boat and the bus. I advise against this experience for people sensitive to heat/dehydration and bothered by noise, crowds, or tobacco. €30 + extras for an endless day, in the noise, smoke, and heat, without even being able to enjoy the main activity, I will have a very bad memory of it. Probably the worst of my backpacking career.

This was the worst diving experience I had (and I had 6 dives in different countries), though this was supposed to be "the best one" on Viator. We payed 110 EUR for 2 people for what? For two 5 minute dives? On the boat they asked 30 extra EUR per person for "real diving", and this is NOT NORMAL. It is expected that we have two (or at least ONE) proper full dive for at least 15 munutes when we book this experience. The description in Viator does not mention any extra charge and even misleadingly says that both dives can't be longer than 20 minutes, suggesting that we get proper duration on each dive. I also asked the main instructor (after the 5 minute "learning" dive) for how long will be the 2nd dive? He replied "25-40 minutes" not mentioning the extra charge. They even charge 20 EUR for "individual" breathing regulator mouthpiece, I never seen anything like that before. Also they drag this mouthpiece on the dirty floor before handing it to you, we constantly had to ask to wash it with water before they give it to us. Even more fun, there was 1 person who paid for 3rd dive (someone on the street who seld the tour to him promised this), and none if the crew was aware of this. They ended up with no choice but to give him the 3rd dive at the 3rd spot, but everyone else on the boat had to wait for 1 extra hour waiting for them to finish. In result we also got into a traffic jam, so we returned back at 8pm (departured at 7am). The management and organization is just terrible. The amount of people on the boat was huge, everyone was in a rush, NO PROPER INSTRUCTIONS were given for what to do if the breather/pipe accidentally gets out of the mouth (I.e. how do you use the air discharge button or how do you find the breather if it gets pulled behind you) - this is NOT acceptable because due to the OVERCROWDNESS at the 1st location me and my girlfriend were hit twice by someone's leg under the water - the breather could have easily been pulled out of the mouth underwater and no safety instructions were given for that! Back at Mexico, Cancun, we had the best diving experience and the instructor there was 100% processional and was diving time to my girlfriend when she was worried about anything and explained instructions like 3 times to her until she understood (it was her 1sr dive). Here my girlfriend was so stressed due to people kicking her with legs and water coming into her mask that she asked the instructor underwater to get back to the surface twice at both spots (she gave the thumb up "go up" sign) - the instructor IGNORED her request underwater and continued descending BOTH times even he clearly saw her distress. Also due to the overall rush the guy who mounted the aqualung on my girlfriend hit her with the tank on her back and didn't even say sorry. The lunch was the worst too, just a dry cutlet, dry salad and some grain, of course they charge for drinks (at least it's mentioned on Viator). People including the crew were constantly smoking in the 1st deck despite the DON'T SMOKE SIGN. Just don't waste your time there unless you really want to pay them extra on board for just 1 proper duration dive. The boat operator was ALIS DIVING, 0/10.

Viator really is one of the best apps to arrange trips. Transfer picked up exactly on time, the trip was amazing and the transfer back was also perfect.

Diving team were very attentive with a great focus on safety which made the experience as a first time diver much more enjoyable.

I went scuba diving in Antalya this June — overall, it was a great experience, even though the water conditions weren’t ideal. June is a popular time, but the sea was a bit cloudy, so visibility underwater was low and we didn’t see many fish. That said, everything else more than made up for it. The organization was excellent from start to finish. Our driver from the hotel to the marina was fantastic — super friendly and punctual. The boat was comfortable, the staff was welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was really relaxed and enjoyable. Swimming around the rocky coastline and mountains was just amazing. Even without perfect scuba conditions, being in that scenery was an unforgettable experience. The instructors were all professional, patient, and friendly. Our coach was especially polite and helpful. You could tell the whole team knew what they were doing, which made the whole day feel very safe and smooth. All in all, I highly recommend this trip — especially for the views and the great service. Just be aware that visibility underwater can vary depending on the season.
