Tristan was an excellent guide - informed, engaged, and interesting. The tour gave good geographical and historic context to a story that is otherwise well known.
It was a scam. Tour guide was rude. He was not knowledgeable and kept reading. We don’t come all this way to listen to excerpts from books. He was most unwelcoming and disregarded seniors who might need a break from the 2 hours of walking and standing in the heat. I see other tour guides offering water and umbrellas or at least allow a bench seating somewhere- sometime . He was desperate to finish the tour quickly.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that the guide in question is one of our most experienced and well-regarded team members. It is very disingenuous to say he is not knowledgable. On the day of your tour, he actually had to omit one of the planned stops in order to keep the tour moving, and he ended up running a full hour over the scheduled time. This meant that he missed his break before his next tour, which was already affected by the delay caused by your group. It is, also, not common practise at all for guides to provide water bottles and umbrellas. We always encourage guests to share any concerns directly with us during or immediately after the tour, so we can address them fairly and constructively.
Amazing walking tour, filled with great information! Our guide, Craig, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable. & funny (even though most of the content is somber)! This is a great option, especially if you didn't score tickets to the Anne Frank house/museum. It was hot, but Craig kept us in the shade as much as he could. Bring a water bottle to fill up at the free stations!
It was excellent!! He was very interesting, knew all the history, and very easily understood and voice was loud enough to hear. Appreciated the small group and the weather was perfect
It was a very informative and interactive look at the life of Jews and others who were prosecuted during the Second World War. Our tour guide, Tristan was so passionate about the subject matter, eloquent and very knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam. Well done Tristan!!!
Tristan was a fantastic guide! His stories and information brought the history of WW2 Amsterdam to life. I would happily have him as a guide for any subject!

However, at no point did you reach out to us during the situation to let us know what was happening or to ask for assistance. We had even reached out to you prior to the tour with instructions for exactly where the guide would be during the parade. Making a request like this in a 1-star review is not exactly the best way to go about resolving the issue.
