This was the best driver we have ever had. He knew so much, had a great sense of humor and was great to meet. The sunset wasn't good because of the overcast weather.
Very friendly and knowledgeable driver. The trip was only 2 hours and 45 minutes and we left Peggy's Cove right at 9 even though the sunset time was 9:05. Felt like we could have stayed an extra 15 minutes to watch the full sunset. Otherwise a great trip, Peggy's Cove is much less busy at sunset!

Just to clarify, the tour ran from 6:37 PM to around 10:00 PM (about 3 hours 23 minutes total). We arrived before 7:30 PM, giving plenty of time at Peggy’s Cove, and left at 9:10 PM after everyone returned, with hotel drop-off by 10:00 PM. Thanks again for choosing Alpha Travel & Tours!
Wonderful trip out to Peggy's Cove to watch the sunset. Very weather dependant, but we had a beautiful day. Arjun text in the morning to confirm the pick up details, vehicle was clean and he was very knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend this tour.

Weather dependent! In essence you're just paying for a ride to see a lighthouse but it is a spectacular village to watch the sunset and the guide is kind and knowledgeable so you'll be entertained along the way and dropped off at your hotel afterward. Definitely worth it if you like taking photos and coastal scenery and don't have your own car / are limited in time!

Wow, what an incredible evening! The Peggy's Cove Sunset Tour from Halifax was truly a night to remember. Pickup for the tour was by Pier 22 in Halifax and at that time of the evening, the parking was free. We loaded in a comfy van, left on time and the weather was beautiful. Half way down the windy road on the way there, the weather started to turn very dreary. By the time we arrived in Peggy's Cove, it was nothing but mist and fog everywhere. The driver was friendly and told us that we had 1.5 hours to walk around. At first you could see the lighthouse, but it was obvious that no sunset was ever going to happen which was truly unfortunate. There is a restaurant and a gift shop there and you can walk around the village. But, it was so ugly that night it wasn't even enjoyable. We waited for two passengers that stayed until the last minute and by that time the lighthouse was completely shrouded in fog. I took this tour because I had been driving so much on my road-trip that I wanted a break. It's not the tour company's fault - I know you can't control the weather. But in retrospect, I wish I had just decided to drive down myself during the day (when I can check the forecast) and forgo trying to catch a sunset. Would've saved me some money.

Unfortunately, the weather in Nova Scotia has a mind of its own — if only we could schedule the fog the same way we schedule the van, we’d be in business! As noted in our tour description, this is a self-guided visit where guests have time to explore the village and iconic lighthouse at their own pace. While we can’t control the weather, we always aim to provide a safe, comfortable, and relaxed trip so guests don’t have to worry about the drive and can simply enjoy the setting, rain or shine.
