The weather played its part in creating an atmosphere conductive to a Ghost Tour of Oxford. As we followed Jonathon down to Board Street the sky darkening in anticipation, lightening struck and thunder clapped. While the weather certainly contributed to a spooky tour, without it, it still would have been excellent. Jontahon was a brillant guide and a great stoty teller drawing us in to the conversation about the various ghosts said to haunt the streets of Oxford.

A thought provoking tour where we got to explore the city's dark secrets and what it might have been like in the past. Highlighted how ghost stories might have come about and why they have stayed. Left me questioning the real past of the city.

W enjoyed our guide Kelli so much! The tour itself is not your typical ghost tour with a lot of scary stories. So if you’re looking for that, I would keep looking. But if you’re looking for a more academic look at ghost stories and why they survive, book it.

We recently took a group of international teenage girls on the Uncomfortable Oxford Haunted Tour, and it was absolutely fantastic thanks to our brilliant guide, Devika. From the start, she had the group fully engaged. Her thoughtful questions sparked real discussion, encouraging the girls to think critically about social history, power, memory, and women’s stories so often left out. It went far beyond ghost tales and really opened their minds. Devika made every student feel heard and included. Her warmth, curiosity, and skill as a guide left a lasting impression on all of us. If you're after a meaningful, engaging tour of Oxford, we can’t recommend this one enough, especially with Devika leading.

The tour was led by a charismatic and knowledgeable guide who brought us to numerous sites where ghosts are said to haunt. He gave us the history behind the people who had died, and challenged us to speculate on how these stories may have developed or changed over time. There is lots of walking involved, so be sure to wear comfy shoes. Guaranteed to be thought-provoking, informative, and a great way to see the university and learn some urban legends. Highly recommended.
