We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Amsterdam Wine & Cheese Cruise. The setting was beautiful, the wine and cheese selection was excellent, and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. A special shout out to our guide, Emily, who truly made the trip memorable. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Amsterdam, its history, and the sights we passed along the canals. What really stood out was how personable and engaging she was. Emily created a welcoming atmosphere, happily answered questions, and shared interesting stories that brought the city to life. Her enthusiasm and passion for what she does were evident throughout the cruise. If you're looking for a unique way to experience Amsterdam, I highly recommend this cruise. And if you're lucky enough to have Emily as your guide, you're in for a fantastic experience! ⭐ 10/10 experience. Would definitely do it again.

Prinsengracht
Sammenlignet med de andre kanaler er Prinsengracht en forholdsvis beskeden kanal. Mens Herengracht blev bygget og designet til Amsterdams overklasse, blev Prinsengracht designet som en overgangskanal mellem det rige kanalbælte og arbejderkvartererne (Jordaan), der omgav dem. Dette kan også ses i husene på Prinsengracht, som er meget mere 'nøgterne' sammenlignet med de andre kanaler: mindre brede og med færre dekorationer end på de andre kanaler.
Magere Brug
MAGERE BRUG 'SKINNY BRIDGE' er den ældste stadig fungerende, delvist træ, vindebro i Amsterdam og et nationalt monument. Den magre bro blev bygget i det 17. århundrede. På det tidspunkt manglede byrådet lidt penge, så de besluttede ikke at bygge en ublu bro, men en billig (træ i stedet for sten) og smal ('mager') en. Broen var så smal, at folk næsten ikke kunne passere hinanden, eller også skulle de være meget magre. Den nuværende bro er fra 1934. Biltrafik har ikke været tilladt at krydse den siden 2003. Den magre bro er Amsterdams mest berømte bro, og rammen om mange film (bl.a. James Bond).
H'ART Museum
HERMITAGE MUSEUM ligger i Amstelhof. Bygningen er fra 1681 og var oprindeligt et plejehjem (i 300 år). I 2007 blev plejehjemmet omdannet til museum. Nogle værelser blev vedligeholdt og restaureret. Eremitagemuseet er et anneks til Eremitagen i Sankt Petersborg, Rusland, og deler en del af sin kunstsamling med den i Rusland. Tilsammen har de to Hermitage den største kunstsamling i verden.
Blauwbrug
BLAUWBRUG 'BLUE BRIDGE' har sit navn til sin forgænger: en vindebro som Skinny Bridge, men med blåt gelænder. Den nuværende Blauwbrug er fra 1883 og var inspireret af Pont Neuf i Paris. På grund af verdensudstillingen i Amsterdam i 1883 var der brug for en ny bro med storslået udseende. Kronerne på toppen af broen er 'kejserlige kroner' og er de samme kroner som på Westerkerk og i byvåbenet. Kronen er kejserens krone af det hellige romerske imperium, givet af kejser Maxi-milian I i 1489 som tak for Amsterdams pengestøtte. Kejserens krone er beviset på, at selv den store kejser anbefalede Amsterdam, og derfor meget vigtig for handelen.

Very Nice way to see Amsterdam.
Really nice way to see Amsterdam. Nice cruise around the canals with nice wine and cheese to make it very relaxing (other drinks are available if you want) Guide was very good Boat was open air so make sure you have appropriate clothes for the day

Amsterdam cheese and wine cruise
Had a wonderful hour on the Amsterdam canals plenty of cheese and wine set out for us. The skipper Onno was great fun and very knowledgeable well worth the money

On the day of your cruise, we deliberately operated the Cheese & Wine Cruise on one of our open boats because the weather forecast was excellent. Every booking was provided with its own private table, from which the cheese and wine were served throughout the cruise. Our open boats are configured differently from our salon boats, allowing guests to enjoy unobstructed views while still having their own dedicated table for the tasting experience. We also recognise that preferences differ. While many guests on board that day told our crew they had thoroughly enjoyed the experience, we fully respect that it did not meet your personal expectations. That said, we were disappointed to receive a 1-star review without having had the opportunity to address your concerns during the cruise. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best with your future travels.

Extremely hospitable, pleasant and comfortable. The tour itself is full of interesting sites and observations about the history of Amsterdam. Wine and cheese were excellent and more than plentiful! Kudos to captain and first mate!

Best way to see Amsterdam. Especially at sunset. We were a little early and we were lucky. The girl told us some places to go and see very friendly people.

Awkward Experience
We booked this experience assuming the other passengers had booked the same. However, we were the only passengers on board having the wine and cheese, and everyone else was just staring at us. Some of the other passengers made a joke of it and even poured our wine for us, but it was just a very odd experience.

We felt we were booked on the wrong boat.
We had a bad experience from the start the put us on a small boat with a lot of people. We couldn’t hear the tour director. We were the only one served with wine and cheese since we booked that way. We felt very uncomfortable having that since no one was having. We thought we were going to be part of the group who had the same thing. We felt very uncomfortable having it. I am asking for a refund.
