At rejse med Secret Highlands giver dig tid og plads til virkelig at tage vores smukke landskab. Der er ingen anden tur, der tilbyder disse stop, så dette er en unik chance for at udforske Highlands omkring Inverness samt smage på noget af den bedste bagning og fantastisk dyrekød burgere på tilbud! Med vores små grupper på højst 6, i vores VW Caravelle, vil du virkelig kunne nedsænke dig selv i naturen og landskabet, hvilket får din dag til at føles speciel og udformet lige til dig! Hvis du vil opleve bassinet ved Plodda, så lad mig det vide, så jeg kan sikre dig, at du har et håndklæde, og jeg kan rådgive om, hvad du skal tage!

Rejseplan
Vores første stop vil være med udsigt over den storslåede Loch Ness og ruinerne af Urquhart Castle. Vi stopper her i ca. 10 - 15 minutter for nogle fotos og lærer om nogle af de fantastiske fakta og sagn, som loch er kendt for.
Før vi når Glen Affric, tager du en lille afstikker til den 4.000 år gamle kammergravsvarde ved Corrimony. Dette er en af de bedst bevarede varder på det skotske fastland, så en fantastisk mulighed for at få et glimt ind i den gamle fortid og lære om disse mystiske menneskers kultur og skikke.
Vi drejer derefter ind i landet og på, hvad mange mennesker anser for at være Skotlands smukkeste glen - Glen Affric er hjemsted for nogle af Skotlands oprindelige og gamle fyrretræer, også kendt som Granny Pines, såvel som Røde og Roe Hjort, Ospreys, Ekkre og og en lang række dyreliv. Vi vil blive her i ca. 1 time for at give dig mulighed for at tage det fantastiske landskab og tage en af de korte gåture langs floden.
Vi vil hovedet tilbage ned ad single track road og over til den anden side af Glen for at tage i Plodda Falls - Skotlands 2. højeste vandfald, det er en kort gåtur til bunden, hvor hvis du føler dig eventyrlystne, kan du hoppe ind til poolen for en svømmetur!
Vores næste stop vil være i Beauly, hvor du vil kunne udforske denne smukke landsby, og det er ødelagt priory, en af kun 3, vi blev bygget i Skotland.

I did 2 day tours with Jamie - the Alternative Loch Ness and the Untamed North West. Both days were amazing. It was great to be away from the typical tourist spots and enjoy the quieter, and really spectacular locations. The walks were very enjoyable and it seemed as though there was a breathtaking view around every corner! Jamie is a great guide - really informative and lots of fun. The Untamed North West is almost worth doing just to taste the Lochinver pies!! I can't recommend Secret Highlands highly enough, my tours with Jamie were highlights of my holiday.
This was an amazing tour. We saw and experienced so much of the Highlands with our great tour guide, Jamie. He was extremely knowledgeable in the history of the area. He was funny and interesting and I highly recommend his tours.

My partner and I spent a full day with Jamie and we couldn’t have asked for more. An informative, in depth and totally customisable day for us. Each and every question we had, had a well thought out clear and enthusiastic answer. Anything we wanted to do Jamie found a way to fit it in if it was even vaguely possible. Lunch was sorted with us on the way, water and snacks available when we needed. All round genuinely lovely and passionate. Found Jamie and Secret Highlands on Google. Sent an email asking about a tour with hiking for a group of six. Jamie responded with a perfect itinerary. His Mercedes van was comfortable. The scenery was outstanding. By driving past the tourist spots and traveling into the woods you truly see the Highlands. We hiked in two areas, both scenic but different. Jamie was a wealth of information regarding the history of the area. We even had time for lunch at an excellent cafe and a brief Whiskey tasting.
So glad to have you all! It was such a fun day and I delighted to have been able to get everything in and you guys back for the ship in good time! It was great meeting you all!!
Jamie offered us a great day in the highlands and guided us through his homeland with great and interesting facts. We would do a tour with him again anytime. Nice guide with fine kilt 😅😎👌

Our tour of the Loch Ness area included a short cruise, castles, great friendly dining along the way, and fun stories of history and folklore. Jamie took us off course on our way to Edinburgh to see St Andrews Course. He was accommodating and fun.

Even the toughest critics, a 15-year-old girl and a 12-year-old, were thoroughly impressed! 10 stars. Amazing experience from start to finish. Jamie was our guide and he was incredibly friendly and delighted us with history and folk lore throughout the trip. The day was flexible and Jamie made it clear anything we wanted to stop and take photos off or ask about, just shout. He has a passion for the history and a reverence for the Scottish highlands that this beautiful landscape so clearly deserves. He made every stop feel magical and made this foreign (to us) landcsape feel approachable which made it so much more special. He also takes great pictures of you/your group!!
