Denne park er en af de ældste i Almaty, hvor Holy Himmelfartsdomen ligger (Almatys ældste stående katedral), som er den mest ikoniske bygning i byen. I parken kan du også se WW II-mindesmærket og Afghanistan Krigsminde, dedikeret til mindet om krigere, der døde for landets frihed og uafhængighed
Næste stop er Zelenyi Bazar (Green Bazar). Historisk set tiltrak denne basar byfolk til købmand, handel og by sladder. I dag er Green Bazar et must sted at besøge i Almaty. Friske råvarer, autentiske kazakiske retter, tørret frugt og naturligvis kød er kun få grunde til at opleve dette autentiske sted
Arbat Street er Almatys største shoppinggade, der bedst udforskes til fods. Når du går ned, kan du se en mangfoldighed af shoppingområder og restauranter. For at gøre det smukkere er Arbat-gaden foret med udstillinger for springvandskulpturer. Lokale kunstnere og håndværkere sælger deres mesterværker.

Although it was hot, the tour was really enjoyable, interesting and informative. The tour guide certainly knew his stuff and provided a wealth of historical and cultural information about Almaty and Kazakhstan in general. Also, there was interesting info provided on the sites and streets that we saw. I am glad we attended this tour.
Beautiful city. It was the capital. Picturesque and nostalgic .Beautiful parks and walks. Orthodox churches. Nice typical restaurants. There's the chocolate factory where you can shop and the instrument museum
Guide was able to really provide solid informed information about the history across all aspects. It was a good introduction to the country and helped pull the threads together from my visit to the museum. He made this a personalised tour and we covered quite a lot of highlights! This is good if you don’t have a lot of time or want to take a deeper dive into history and key differences in culture and some regions of Kazakhstan!
Great introduction to Almaty! Chingis was an excellent guide - he introduced us to the history, architecture and culture of the city. Although an Almaty local, his English was flawless. We would highly recommend this tour!
Chingis was my tour guide & was in a small group. Chingis was very good at explaining the history & was very knowledgeable. The Cathedral was very interesting & getting to see amazing architecture. We got to see Kazakhstan army practicing their drill. The statues were amazing. There is so much history I learnt. I would highly recommend this tour !

The trip was perfectly organized and tour guide arrived on time . I enjoyed my 2 hours tour and amount of knowledge related to history of Kazakhstan & Almaty in specific I gained.. totally recommended.
