På denne helgedagstur vil du udforske to ikoniske topattraktioner i Beijing: Kinas Store Mur, et af verdens syv vidundere, og Sommerpaladset, den kejserlige sommerretur for gamle kejsere. Stående på toppen af den Store Mur, vil du blive forbløffet over dens storslåede panoramaudsigt. I mellemtiden tilbyder Sommerpaladset en helt unik oplevelse med sine udsøgte klassiske landskaber. Om morgenen vil din professionelt Engelsk Vejleder og chauffør med et luftkonditioneret køretøj afhente dig. Du kan vælge afhentningstjeneste i din hotellobby, eller vælge at møde os på vores udpegede mødested. Vi vil først hovedet til Mutianyu Great Wall, en 1,5 - timers kørsel væk. Mutianyu er en roligere, mere afsidesliggende del af den store mur omkring Beijing med langt færre folkemængder. Dette segment er berømt for sit fantastiske naturlandskab: frodige skove og grønne græsarealer, der skifter farver med hver sæson. Væggen slanger mere end 1.000 meter langs bjerghøjder, før en skarp drejning og falder stejlt ned ad bakken. Du vil have omkring to timer ledig tid til at udforske den store mur. Turen tager ca. 30 minutter til fods. Alternativt kan du tage stolift op; en spændende luge glide ned ad bjerget er også tilgængelig på din vej tilbage.
Efter en lækker frokost på en lokal restaurant, vil vi fortsætte til Summer Palace, som er lidt over en times kørsel fra Mutianyu Great Wall. Sommerpaladset tjente som en kejserlig kongelig have i oldtiden. Det kan prale af utallige elegante pavilloner, store herregårde, hellige templer, delikate broer, store søer og viklende overdækkede korridorer. Den ikoniske lange korridor, der strækker sig langs vandet, holder Guinness World Record som verdens længste malede korridor. Du vil også besøge kendte vartegn, herunder Seventeen-Arch Bridge, Marble Boat, Kunming Lake og Longevity Hill. Når sightseeingen er afsluttet, vil vores chauffør overføre dig tilbage til dit hotel.

Wendy was a great tour guide who went above and beyond for us when we got stuck in long lines on the Great Wall to make sure we got to our evening dinner reservation. Would recommend again!

Pick-up was timely and with a comfortable car. 1,5-2hrs travel by from Beijing. The temperature and the crowd in an August visit makes the walking tour (expect some steep ascending sections of the walk) a little bit more of a challenge. But unforgettable scenery worth the effort - and feeds a sense of direct contact with a pluri-millennial culture. Our guide - Bruce - was excellent. Very knowledgeable on the history of China and of the Great Wall, and effective in his explanations. We greatly appreciated his dedication and professionalism. The “Jade Factory visit” revealed to be more a jewelry shopping experience. Fine but extremely expensive products. Buffet lunch at the “factory” just Ok.

I had a great tour to the Great Wall and the Summer Palace. We had a fabulous day with Wendy. We first went to the Great Wall of China where Wendy gave a great overview of the history. We took the chairlift up and explored the wall. Once we were down we had a lovely tea ceremony. After Wendy took us to Summer Palace which was beautiful and peaceful especially on the boat. Overall we had an amazing day with Wendy.
