Meget af Algarves charme ligger i dens evne til at tilbyde turistfaciliteter i topklasse og alligevel bevare sin egen identitet, let synlig i de traditionelle landsbyer og aktiviteter i området. Porches Pottery-værkstedet er en af de bedste repræsentanter for denne kunst, og mange af de traditionelle produktionsmetoder bruges stadig her i dag. Du kan se keramikken blive lavet og malet i hånden af håndværkerne. Fiskerbyen Benagil ligger over Atlanterhavet og en lille, men malerisk strand, lyden af Atlanterhavet er det uafbrudte lydspor til landsbyens aktiviteter. På vej mod feriestedet Carvoeiro besøger vi Algar Seco, hvor du kan se de fantastiske huler og grotter, der er skåret fra kysten gennem århundreder. Sensational! The traditional handmade pottery at Porches Pottery, the exquisite Portuguese wines by Jose Manuel Cabrita, and the dazzling views of beaches and rock formations along the coast made for one incredible day. Ricardo, our tour guide, was simply amazing. He superbly guided us through some of the Algarve region’s most treasured sites. He truly made the day fun and exciting. This was a fun day and a great way for us to experience a little bit more of what the region has to offer.

Michael was our guide and very knowledgeable. Stopped and picked us fresh fennel and pepper plants and pointed out particular birds.

If you want to escape the all-inclusive package holidays at the hotel for a day and see something of the Algarve, this day tour along the coast is well advised. All the guides seemed nice and witty, but we were glad to have caught Miguel! Obrigada, Miguel! 🥲🫶🏼 Miguel showed and explained us a lot of the local flora (everyone has probably seen thyme and rosemary, but also almond and avocado trees?!) and fauna (even flamingos 🦩 😱) and so this day was a really exceptionally great one.

Great trip to some stunning scenery, photo opportunities and if course the winery. Our tour guide Michael was fantastic. Really informative and witty too. His local knowledge was actually the highlight of the trip. The weather wasn't great but this didn't deter us from enjoying the best of the beautiful scenery in the area. The winery was great too and we enjoyed a tasting of white, rosé and red. I recommend this day trip as a way to find out more about the area ocal history and customs of Portugal.

...just back and absolutely flashed...:) Our tourgide and driver Michael was exactly what you want when you want to explore a foreign country ... local, linguistic, courteous, polite, funny, above average informative... just an ingenious dear guy... with his "rubbish" he just created us an all-round perfect day... the beauties of the country are really great, but if they are then conveyed even so... that just makes you want more... a huge thank you at this point again to Michael and many lovely greetings from René and the Golden Girls

We had Peter as tourgide and this was a very nice experience! He knew a lot about the environment and has a good command of several languages (en/fr). Sufficient freedom at the various stops to look around yourself. Only at the Potery you only saw the women painting from a distance, this was not very special (on the site is called workshop) but in short it was definitely a successful day!
