Dette er en dag med opdagelse og historie! Vores rute følger mindre tilbagelagte stier, hvilket giver dig en kræsen udsigt over Portugals fortid og nutid. Vi rejser til byen Silves. Her er der tid til at besøge den imponerende katedral og til at vandre i de smalle gader (entré ikke inkluderet). Herfra fortsætter vi vores opstigning ind i Monchique-bjerget. Vi besøger den charmerende lille kurby Caldas de Monchique, med kilder med dokumenterede medicinske egenskaber. Efter den snoede vej når vi det højeste punkt i Algarve – Fóia – 902 meter over havets overflade. Ned ad bakke derefter fra Fóia, krydse landskabet og stoppe i den lille landsby Marmelete, hvor du har tid til at nyde frokosten i en af de lokale restauranter (inkluderet). Efter frokost tager vi direkte til Costa Vicentina, for at besøge nogle pragtfulde strande. Så er det videre til 'verdens ende' - Cape St. Vincent. Passage gennem Sagres, en typisk fiskerby og dens beskyttede fiskerihavn.

Besøg slottet, der stammer fra denne periode og giver en storslået udsigt over det omkringliggende landskab.
Vi fortsætter vores opstigning ind i Monchique-bjergene, et oase af grønne bølgende bjergskråninger, majestætiske korktræer og skarpe eukalyptuslunde.
Stående på 902 moh. Udsigterne her er dramatiske og luften utrolig ren.
Besøg nogle storslåede strande, hvor du kan få tid til at gå rundt og tage nogle fremragende billeder, slappe af og nyde udsigten.
Derefter går det videre til ”verdens ende” - byen Sagres - berømt hjemsted for Prince Henrys School of Navigation. Ved Cape St. Vincent (Europas mest sydvestlige punkt) står en lille fyrtårn på toppen af klipperne og modige elementerne. Træk vejret i den forfriskende havluft og undres over landskabets vidunder.

What an amazing day! This tour took us from the mountain tops in the Monchique Mountains to the most southwestern part of Europe in Sagres and Cabo De San Vicente. Along the way, we stopped and had an absolutely fabulous lunch at the Restaurante O’Castelo. Muito delicioso!! The views along the way were breathtaking and the beaches spectacular. It was a full day, but we saw and learned much about the history and culture of the Algarve. I cannot say enough about Ricardo, our guide. He was amazing. 5-stars plus!! He treated us like we were VIP’s. Ricardo, a native of the Algarve, gave us an in-depth narrative on the history of the area along with a unique perspective of its culture. This made the day even more special for us. An outstanding day!!

The tour guide was very knowledgable about the area and we enjoyed his time with us but our group was picked up a bit late and returned at 1:30 pm instead of 3pm. We were supposed to go for a tour of a sardine museum but this didn’t happen.
Very interesting ride, Pieter as a tour guide was very informative and answered many questions. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
