Din kvalificerede egyptolog henter dig kl. 7.30 fra dit hotel i Kairo eller Giza, hvorefter du overføres med aircondition-deluxe-køretøj med din private rejseguide. Du ankommer til Alexandria omkring kl. 10.00 for at starte din dag med at besøge Qaitbay Fort. Fortet Sultan Qaitbay er et af symbolerne på Alexandria, det blev bygget på den gamle ø Pharos over ruinerne af den verdensberømte fyrtårn i 1477-1480 e.Kr. Dernæst besøger du Serapeum og Pompeys søjle. På stedet for det gamle tempel Serapis (lokal gud i Alexandria) er der den højeste søjle, udskåret af en blok rød granit, hvor søjlen fejlagtigt tilskrives Pompeius. Derefter går du ind på det romerske odeum (teater), som er den lille romerske odeum ved Kom al-Dikka, der stammer fra det 4. århundrede e.Kr. og oprindeligt havde et tag, hvis niveauer kunne rumme 600 tilskuere. Fortsæt ind på katakomberne fra Kom al-Shuqafa (romerske graver), den vigtigste hypogeum i Alexandria, Kom al-Shuqafa-katakomberne dateres fra det 2. århundrede e.Kr. I slutningen af dagen ser du Alexandria Bibliotheca (udefra), før du vender tilbage til dit hotel i Kairo eller Giza. Frokosten inkluderer blandt andet besøg på en lokal restaurant.

Excellent clean van and wonderful guide. Lunch was an incredible fish dinner on the Mediterranean! The sites were very interesting.
I was taken around by tourguide Manar. She was amazing, very friendly, generous with her time and really was interested in showing us around. She was cheerful and knew a lot about the place. Definitely recommend this tour group.
Great experience, Ali came with us, gave us a wonderful tour, and took us to a very nice restaurant where we were able to select our fresh sea food prior to it being cooked

It was a very nice excursion to Alexandria which remains an exceptional destination considering the Greco-Roman heritage in this city. Goda is an excellent driver and took care of us very well. The French-speaking guide, Mohamed, showed us the most beautiful sites of the city. He speaks very good French and is very welcoming. We recommend it to you.
This was an incredible tour of the city of Alexandria by our driver and tour guide Nermen,We were picked up on time. We stopped for breakfast after an hour and reached Alexandria very early. The tour guide let us take more time for the break because we had kids. The guide knew all about the historical sites. We decided to spend much time around the beach (it was a warm day). Lunch was fantastic by the Mediterranean fresh fish & there was a vegetarian food!! The driver was great. The sites were mesmerizing. A really memorable trip to a historic city.
We travelled as one family to Alexandria with a very helpful guide and friendly driver. A big thank for this excellent day trip. We loved this stunning places such as Pompey's Pillar, the Roman amphitheater and Alexandria library and hope to travel with you again.
Had a great day in Alexandria with our guide Sharif (with Viator tour company). He made sure we were happy and was very personable! He gave us a great backstory to all of the cites we visited (citadel, Pompey’s pillar, catacombs and library). He also made sure to take lots of nice pictures for us without us even needing to ask. Would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to visit this part of Egypt!!!
<p>We had a full day tour of Alexandria. It took us about 2 and 1/2 hours to get there from Giza but well worth it. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all of Ancient Egyptian History. Visiting the catacombs was amazing and the whole day was great. Had lunch overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Highly recommend visiting Alexandria.</p>
