Beskrivelse
I løbet af denne immersive oplevelse vil vi udforske Lissabons livlige kvarterer for at opdage de forskellige smag af den afrikanske diaspora. Fra vores mødested vil vi introducere Lissabons unikke kulturelle blanding, derefter gå på en guidet madtur, smage retter fra 3-4 afrikanske ejede og afrikansk inspirerede spisesteder. Hvert stop har håndplukkede delikatesser, med indsigt i ejerens rejser, hvilket giver indsigt i deres arv og kulinariske rejse. Undervejs vil vi engagere os i samtaler om Lissabons afro-portugisiske historie, vartegn og livlige fællesskabsbånd, hvilket skaber et indbydende rum for forbindelse og kulturel værdsættelse. Vi afslutter vores rejse på Green Street, hvor vi siger farvel, mens vi fejrer de smage og fællesskab, vi har nydt. Denne tur tilbyder sjælden adgang til skjulte perler og autentiske indsigter gæster sandsynligvis ikke ville opdage på egen hånd, hvilket gør det til en unik rejse gennem Lissabons rige, diasporiske tapet.

My most highly anticipated tour and they delivered. The food was exquisite. Kam was awesome. So appreciated them sharing their story and the rich African history. Definitely would like to do it again.

This tour was one of the best I’ve done! Kam was very knowledgeable on African Lisbon history and energetic the entire time. All the restaurants we visited were exceptional! The tastings were just the right size because we visited at least 4 places with an extra surprise at the end. Our group was expressive and talkative and immediately became family. Also definitely worth it to add the alcohol upgrade for drink tastings. I will always recommend this to everyone who asks me about must do things in Lisbon.
Kam gave such a detailed history of the diaspora of Lisbon and Portugal in general. I left the tour not only full from amazing food but full in knowledge and I would definitely recommend this tour!
This tour was a highlight of our experience in Lisbon. It was thoughtfully curated, reflecting the relationships that Kam and her team have built in the area/region. We were able to benefit formt he many connections she has made in Lisbon. The food was outstanding, learning more about the culture through food was insightful and overall, the tour was exceptional. We felt like we were among family and truly enjoyed learning about local businesses. I would not hesitate to book this tour. For those who may be worried about walking for 3+ hours, it was not a heavy lift. The tour keeps the infamous Lisbon hills in mind and we never felt overly exerted. Many thanks to Kam and her team for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Cam is knowledgable, she is friendly and brings the whole tour to life because she references her experiences. The food was amazing, even the rain did not deter from the experience.
Kam is an absolutely fantastic guide through Afro-Portuguese food and history. The restaurants we visited all had a warm, friendly vibe and excellent service. The dishes were delicious, unique and representative of various diasporic nationalities and cultures. If you want to experience Portugal through the lens of the diaspora, this is absolutely the way to go. Worth every penny and more. I recommend doing this early in your trip to tap into Kam’s fountain of local knowledge. For me, it was the perfect culmination of my first visit to Lisbon.

The African food tour was a peak Lisbon experience for my wife and me. Cam, our guide, was knowledgeable, personable, and fun. She engaged the group with interesting anecdotes and historical context. We made four stops in fascinating neighborhoods where we enjoyed amazing food and drink - dishes that we never could never found on our own. The food tour also viscerally demonstrated the ways in which sharing food builds community – we made friends with everyone on the tour. We highly recommend this tour!
