What can I say, we were really looking forward to visiting the museum in the evening but arrived and were immediately disappointed with the museum. Many of the exhibits are not fully functional - and whilst the ones that are lit up are very good the overall experience was somewhat deflating for us. I hope that in time they can get more exhibits but there are much better activities to undertake in LV. We spent about 20-30mins at the Museum. If in Cincinnati visit the American Sign Museum it’s much better than the Las Vegas version.
Fantastic! This experience was wonderful at night. The signs were all lit and we were able to enjoy them as it was not so hot.
Read every sign - you'll be amazed at the age of some of the neon. The venue is graveled, not paved. Helps keep it a bit cooler, but you don't want to be wearing sandals or flip flops or you'll have very dirty feet. We went at night and I would 100% recommend that.
Not every sign is lit up but many are and it was very pretty and like walking down memory lane. I liked the little signs that told about each marquee.
What a magical place....the color...the lights!...history....a don't miss experience when in Vegas...off the strip but close enough to visit easily...
Arrived at 4:00 when the museum opened. Not a good time to go since you cannot see the neon. Fee of $25 seemed overpriced for what you got to see.
Very small display not worth the price. The signs are nice just very limited. The area the display is located is sketchy at best.
Amazing history of Las Vegas! We went right at dusk, and it was perfect timing. Definitely start your tour just at or before sunset. It is less crowded, so you won’t be fighting for a view to snap photos. Make sure to have your exposure set to capture all the light. We didn’t do a tour, we just read the plaques along the route and went through twice to make sure we didn’t miss anything. Loved this!
Night time around 8:15, arrived before the sun went down but saw everything lite up. Very cool. Worth the price because the proceeds go to help fix and service the signs.
Go at night when signs are lit up - it may be a bit more expensive, but its worth it. Not limited to casino signs, but all types of light-up signage.
Thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the nostalgic look at the historic signs and appreciated seeing the variety of illuminated signage throughout the collection. It’s great to hear you recommend experiencing the Museum at night, the atmosphere really does change as the signs light up and the history comes alive in a different way. We appreciate you visiting and sharing your thoughts!
