Never again experience 20” into the tour Waste of time and money
Interesting experience for our first driving tour. Enjoyed the stories and turn-by-turn navigation. Highly recommend
It was ok. A little history lessons mixed in with some sites. I went off track several times finding more interesting places that weren’t on the audio. During the long drives between sites, the stories and history lessons were repeated several times making the audio trip annoying at times making me ponder why didn’t they detour to some of the other towns that were in the same area.

Love the personal stories of women traveling to CA by boat , steamer, coach with wonderment and courage .
If you don't start at the exact starting point the tour doesn't follow along. Also had a lot of trouble accessing the tour. Definitely have to plan and have everything pre-loaded. The narration was informative and pleasant for the few stops we listened to.
Nice tour along the “golden 49”. Directions were very difficult to follow because of timing, traffic, sun in the eyes, and difficulty reading street signs. This difficulty was mainly in the heart of the small towns. Stories were great and broke up the longer distances.
That the application was linked to Google Maps and triggered the commentary was very interesting and, frankly, impressive.
This app need some assistance. The tour was supposed to be from angels camp to Jamestown, but as we started in Jamestown, the app was not very open to going in the opposite direction. I have difficulty navigating between text directions and the audio.
Hi The tour follows a set route, with directions from one location to the next. Doing it in reverse puts the audio out of sync. We make it clear that it follows a set route in the product description. Can you please let us know why you thought you could do it in reverse? Thanks, Alicia
This was the last in a series of 4 driving tours of the California Gold Country that my wife and I recently took over a long weekend. We are big history buffs and really enjoyed learning more than we ever imagined about the classic gold rush era. This tour really stood out as the characters we were introduced to brought to life the era. This tour really focused on many of the interesting women from that time and the roles they played. The tour starts out in the quaint little town of Angels Camp (of the Mark Twain Jumping Frog fame) and featured some incredible natural wonders such as the Calaveras Big Trees, the Moaning Caverns and the Natural Bridges Trailhead. Columbia State Historic Park was like literally stepping back in time where you got to experience first hand a well preserved gold rush town, complete with gold panning and stage coach riding opportunities. For railroad fans the Railtown 1897 State Park outside of Jamestown is not to be missed. For classic TV and western lovers it was fun to be able to walk through the old town which has served as the backdrop for literally hundreds of shows. So much fun and the perfect capper to 2 days of fun and adventure. This series is a must for any history buff or anyone just looking to explore the hidden gems of the California Gold Country.
