Everything was perfectly organized. The places we visited were even more beautiful than I could have imagined, magical. Our guide, Anton, was a perfect driver, as well as a great cook and guide. This trip was an experience I will never forget.

I recently completed an unforgettable Namibian Highlights with Chameleon Safaris, and it was indeed an unforgettable experience. Perfectly organized (from start to finish), timely assistance and our fantastic tour guide - Gideon. From the start Gideon’s way to keep the trivia & knowledge information about every spot we traversed along our journey was something that sticks with me and stays memorable about Namibia. Gideon’s driving was always top notch, safe, smooth (to perfectly counterbalance the African Massage experience) and the customized vehicle which made it feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the journey on long distance drives. One of the qualities that stood out the most was Gideon’s punctuality and excellent time management. Every day ran according to the planned schedule, like a clockwork and he ensured that we maximized our time at each destination without ever feeling rushed. Gideon’s sharp attention to timing helped us enjoy every activity while staying organized and stress-free. Gideon is incredibly humble and easy-going, positive and accommodating (special thanks for bringing us on-time to have one final sunset timelapse opportunity). His friendly personality, wild sense of humor and relaxed attitude created a wonderful atmosphere within the group. He was always ready with an interesting story (trivia), making even the longest travel days enjoyable. Throughout the safari, Gideon shared valuable information about Namibia's wildlife, landscapes, culture, and history. His knowledge added significant depth to the experience and helped us appreciate the country far beyond its diverse landscape. Another impressive aspect was his resourcefulness, especially when it came to lunch preparation. The meals were delicious, thoughtfully & timely organized, showing his versatility and commitment to ensuring everyone was well fed and not just the Game :D Most importantly, Gideon created an amazing and welcoming bond within the group. He brought our group together (Dinner at Swakopmund), encouraged positive interactions (suggesting us to switch seats, so that everyone gets to know each one better) and made sure everyone felt included and comfortable. His genuine care for the group's well-being fostered a strong sense of camaraderie that became one of the highlights of the trip. Overall, this Namibian Highlights package exceeded all of my expectations, credit goes to Gideon & Team Chameleon Safaris (fantastic & clean accommodations all throughout). Gideon's professionalism, safe driving, punctuality, knowledge, humility, resourcefulness, and ability to create a positive group dynamic made the experience truly special. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an enjoyable, safe, and memorable adventure in Namibia.

Wonderfull experience. Our guide Simon show me Africa from the best perspective. Had a lot of knowledge and tell us a lot and answer each question - also recommend great additional activities. Started by getting collected from our hotel and going through a briefing which was all very clear. At this point we headed off to Etosha National Park, quite a long drive but beautiful scenery. We arrived at the park and did a game drive that evening and all day the following day. Absolutely amazing, we saw lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes and much more! The Taleni cabins the second evening were brilliant :) We then headed for Swakopmund and saw a famous shipwreck, went for a great meal at Tug that evening. Following this we headed for sossusvlei, the cabins there and lodge were fantastic! We saw Deadvlei, did a drive with picnic in the sand dunes. The whole experience was great, our guide and driver Gregory was absolutely fantastic, cannot recommend highly enough 👍🏻

Excellent from start to finish. The game drives were brilliant, the guides very knowledgeable and switched on and the rest of the activities were really fun and varied. The cheetahs were a personal highlight. All the accommodation was awesome, especially the two nights in the Desert Quiver Camp. Our main guide and driver, Gregory, made the whole experience really relaxed and enjoyable.

An unforgettable 6 days with Chameleon! I really cannot explain how special this experience was for me- the friends I made on the tour were brilliant and a bit thank you to Chaka and Simon our tour guides for their amazing hospitality. Some brilliant landscapes and most of the big 5 were spotted. The only thing I would change is the football team both Chaka and Simon support but nobody is perfect.

Unforgettable 6-Day Safari – A Truly Unique Experience! I recently completed a 6-day safari with Chameleon Safaris, and it was simply outstanding. Even though I ended up being the only guest on this trip, it turned into an incomparable and deeply personal journey. My Guide: Kennedy – Highly Recommended A huge thank you goes to my guide, Kennedy. He made the entire safari incredibly comfortable, safe, and informative. What sets him apart is his impressive linguistic talent: whether at the lodges or in the heart of Damaraland, Kennedy could converse with everyone we met. This opened doors to authentic and fascinating encounters with the Damara, Herero, and Himba people—experiences I wouldn’t have had without him. Wildlife Highlights The wildlife sightings were breathtaking: Etosha Pan: I was lucky enough to observe elephants, lions, rhinos, and giraffes. Solitaire: Getting to see cheetahs from such a close distance was a dream come true. Value for Money While the price may seem high at first glance, the quality of the accommodations and the level of service provided make it an excellent value for the money. You truly get what you pay for—and more. Bottom line: I can warmly recommend Kennedy as a guide and would book with Chameleon Safaris again in a heartbeat! .

I really can't thank everyone at Chameleon enough. This was an absolute trip of a lifetime and I'm already planning to come back. Gregory was an amazing guide - so knowledgeable about history, the landscape and the animals across Namibia. He also recommended that I did the City and Township tour when we returned to Windhoek and Shaka made sure that this was also an excellent trip. I signed up to the six day tour of Namibia, collected by taxi from our hotel and joined another 11 people in a Chameleon tour bus. Etosha safari was a highlight, the Etosha village lodge being a really lovely location. ( would have favoured two nights there rather than the government run lodge in the park tbh). Our driver Anton was so friendly, relaxed, knowledgeable and calm (particularly when our bus limped into the desert camp with an engine fault). It was > 40 degrees and as we had NO AIR CONDITIONING on the bus I was grateful we made it into the camp - with a swimming pool and shower welcoming us. The accommodation chosen by Chameleon was good, the food enjoyable and the extra jeep tours and safari sessions to be recommended. At Solitaire seeing the cheetahs as an unexpected extra tour that was much appreciated. I was grateful that we managed to get the bus engine fixed overnight but did expect the air conditioning problem to be resolved as well. It was a shame it wasn’t. All in all I recommend the tour.

His ability to handle unexpected issues with composure is exactly the professionalism we value so highly. We sincerely apologize that the air conditioning issue wasn't resolved along with the engine repair, particularly given those 40+ degree temperatures. The challenging road conditions in Namibia's remote areas can affect air conditioning systems, and unfortunately, being so far from the city where specialized repairs can be properly attended to presents real logistical challenges. We did attempt to have it fixed, but as you experienced, this didn't work as planned. We understand how uncomfortable that must have been, and this is not the standard we aim for. We want you to know that now the vehicle is back in Windhoek, we've sent it to a reputable air conditioning specialist to upgrade the system so it can better withstand even the most remote terrains and challenging road conditions. Your feedback helps us improve, and we're committed to ensuring future travelers don't face the same discomfort. We are just so sorry that you had to experience an airconless ride to the desert. We're however glad you enjoyed the accommodations, food, extra jeep tours, and that unexpected cheetah experience at Solitaire - those spontaneous moments often become the most cherished memories!
