4x4 Buggy Adventures - Off-road Polaris Experience

Brilliant off-road experience with amazing views. We booked the 4x4 Buggy Adventures Off-road Polaris Experience through TripAdvisor while staying in Ixia, and it was one of the best things we did during our holiday. Communication from the host was excellent from the start, and they arranged pick-up and drop-off from our hotel, which made everything really easy. The safety briefing was very professional but still relaxed. It was clear that safety was taken seriously, but without making the experience feel overly strict or intimidating. Driving licences were checked before starting, so make sure you have yours with you. The buggies were great fun to drive. They are automatic, so easy enough for most people to get used to, and they handled the off-road tracks really well. Most of the route was off-road through the dusty tracks and mountains of Rhodes, with some sections on normal roads. The scenery was fantastic, and the views were definitely the highlight for us. There were occasional stops along the route so the buggies could swap positions, giving everyone a turn in different places in the convoy. Be warned, the rear position gets the most dust! We also stopped at the halfway point at the Bees House and donkey sanctuary, along with a few other stops for photo opportunities. The guide was excellent: professional, relaxed and funny, which made the whole trip even better. We had no negatives at all and would definitely recommend this experience. Great fun, well organised, and a brilliant way to see a different side of Rhodes.

We did the buggy tour yesterday and had an absolutely amazing time! 🚙💨 The buggies were great to drive and handled every type of terrain really well. 💪🌄 We went on an exciting off-road adventure through mountains 🏔️, small streams 💦, and lots of rocky trails 🪨. When choosing your outfit for the tour, keep in mind that it gets very dusty out there 🌪️😄, so don't expect to look spotless by the end of the ride! Our guide Elias was fantastic as well 👏😊. He was incredibly friendly, took great care of us, and had a wonderful sense of humor throughout the tour 😄👍. We absolutely loved the experience and would do it again anytime! ⭐🚙 A clear recommendation from us! 🙌🔥

What a fantastic afternoon! Elias was a fabulous guide—attentive, professional, and always focused on keeping everyone safe while making sure we had plenty of fun. A top bloke. We booked the transfers directly with the company and were picked up by Sofia, who was lovely, informative, and welcoming from the start. The whole experience was excellent, made even better by the buggies, the stunning scenery, and the enthusiasm of both Elias and Sofia. It does get very dusty, but goggles are provided, and you can buy a cool Rhodes-themed face covering for just €4. Overall, a brilliant experience that we would highly recommend! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

We were a group of 8. We had four 4x4s. Elias was a fabulous leader who made the whole trip a fun adventure. We stopped at a donkey sanctuary halfway through and tried and bought some amazing strawberry liquor and honey products and had some fresh squeezed orange juice. Cash only. Then we switched drivers. We saw some amazing views of the mountains and the Aegean Sea and took great pictures. Elias was happy to take group shots for us. All in all we had an amazing time and would highly recommend this excursion to any adventure lovers out there. Thanks Elias!

The experience was absolutely amazing, made our trip. Just the right amount of activity and it felt safe..... Going through the water was the best bit! Instructor extremely friendly, welcoming, informative, made you feel safe and amazing sense of humour 😀. It's exhilarating and well worth every penny. (They offered to collect us and take us back for a reasonable price which also took the stress out of getting to and from the venue). Thank you Ilias! (hopefully I spelt that correct)

Greatly enjoyed the buggy ride. It was a beautiful experience and a very nice route. Very nice guide who guided us well. This experience is definitely a 10/10 recommendation for the people who want to do this. Great!

This was so much fun and allowed us to see parts of the island that we would have missed otherwise. Zoe gave us a ride to the starting location and back to our drop off. She was a joy!! Our guide did a great job as well! It felt safe and professional. We had people in their 50’s as well as in their 20’s and we all enjoyed it!

Amazing scenery and a great guide. Lovely stop to try local produce. Excellent mixture of off-road tracks and smooth mountain roads. Very fun driving through rivers and rocky tracks which really shows off the buggies capabilities. Surprisingly not uncomfortable. Bring a bandana or mask for your face for the dust. They provide goggles for free. Would recommend to anyone.

A great morning off roading round Rhodes. Ellias was a very welcoming host. Explaining how the buggies work and the route and what to expect. they were easy to drive and after a short road drive we were off the beaten track and climbing the mountains. A highlight of the day was stopping at the donkey sanctuary, only a short stop but the people were so welcoming and it was great fun to try their products and pet the donkeys. I would recommend you bring a face covering because it can get very dusty.
