Odette and Edgar welcomed us into their home with open arms. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes we made. Odette started with teaching us a Mexican cocktail and informed us that we could make up more throughout the class. I was already aware of some of the dishes we made, like guacamole and pico de gallo, but it was great to see how locals make the dish. I also learned multiple new dishes I had never heard of before. Odette and Edgar also gave us plenty of recommendations on things to do while in the city. Definitely would recommend cooking with them while in Cancun.

Can’t say enough great things about Chef Mel, her husband Israel, and their pup Pardo! We cooked and ate the most delicious, authentic Mexican food, drank endless Mezcalitas, and had the best time just getting to know them. They accommodated our preferences easily and made us truly feel like a part of their family. 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting Cancun!

The class was wonderful! All the dishes we made were delicious, fun and easy. Mel was fantastic, it was at her Mexican home and she made us very comfortable. We were so full of food and good feeling, would highly recommend. Thanks for an enjoyable afternoon

What a fantastic experience! This Mexican cooking class was excellent from start to finish. The teacher was awesome: knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely fun to learn from. We made so much food that nobody left hungry, and every dish was delicious. The laid-back atmosphere made it all feel relaxed and social rather than rushed or intimidating, which made the whole experience really nice. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great n culinary experience and some new skills/recipes in the kitchen!

The BEST experience with Chef Mel and Israel! We made and ate authentic Mexican dishes, learned about Israel’s hometown, and best of all - got to work with their sous chef, Pardo (the goodest boi 🐶). They customized the menu to our dietary preferences, and really made us feel at home in their home. If you’re staying in the Zona Hotelera, don’t be scared of the distance - it’s a quick Uber or taxi ride, and you won’t be disappointed. Book this experience!

I attended this class with my mum and we had a fantastic time! Chef Mel is so experienced and engaging - turning two novices of Mexican cuisine into knowledgeable budding chefs :) I couldn’t recommend this class highly enough - friendly, fun and utterly delicious.

It was an interesting experience that definitely brought variety to our trip in Cancun. Mel and her husband were lovely and shared their experiences. I appreciated that Mel was able to modify and make a cactus dish instead of chicken as I am pescatarian. The pacing of the evening was a bit slower/laid back.

This was literally such a fun experience omg !!! Chef Mel was amazinggg, so warm, welcoming and we made such delicious food and she really taught us good tips for enhancing the food we make. She has a beautiful energy that made our first night so so fun. I would come back again to do this experience !
