Had an awesome safari trip with Msangai. Booking was super easy and flexible via email and they were able to accommodate all our needs. Communicating with Eric via Whatsapp reassured us that everything was taken care of ahead of the trip. All of the transfers and logistics were organised exactly as expected so we were able to relax and enjoy the views (even for our 3am journey to Kilimanjaro airport to attend an Indian wedding after our safari finished). We got so lucky to see all sorts of wildlife on the first day alone. Our guide Emmanuel was fun, knowledgeable and patient while we took all our photographs. He also helped us buy an extra suitcase and haggled for the best price on our behalf, we felt so looked after. He really made our trip a blast, the worst part was when we had to say goodbye! The lunches were also a highlight, we felt guilty seeing everyone else eating sandwiches while we gobbled down hearty meals of stewed chicken, rice and all sorts of other deliciousness (tablecloth included!). All the lodgings and food were 10/10, we got better service and amenities at the camp in the middle of the Serengeti than in some London hotels we've stayed at before! Overall this trip exceeded our expectations wildly, highly recommend these guys if you are planning a Tanzanian safari!

We went on a 5-day safari with Msangai. We loved our trip! Having booked at the last minute, Erick (the manager) accompanied us from start to finish in the booking program. Very available and attentive to all our requests. They were very flexible and arranged us a lot. We had Godi as our guide. A guide more than lives up to our expectations! Professional, warm, caring, funny, and extremely kind, he allowed us to spend an extraordinary time. He taught us a lot about animal behavior, about nature and the whole ecosystem of Tanzania. We had the chance through 4 different parks to observe all the possible animals we could find and this thanks to Godi's experience and also a little luck ... The landscapes of the 4 parks (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Manyara) are fabulous and each different from the other. Unlike 90% of other companies, we had hot meals, prepared by lodge chefs or slept which were homemade with local produce, fresh and delicious. Almost every other company had boxes with a sandwich and an apple for lunch, and looked at our dining tables like kings. They thought we had a luxury safari, but no. The quality was way above the others! We had an amazing time that we will always remember and this is due in large part to our guide Godi who was once again perfect! Our safari with Msangai Adventure Safaris was truly unforgettable! Everything was perfectly arranged and we felt well taken care of from start to finish. I booked a 3-day safari with Msangai Safaris with my spouse, and unfortunately our experience fell far short of what was promised.     •    Missed game drives: The first day had no proper game drive or lunch, and the second day was largely lost due to delays and the guide being absent for over 2.5 hours at Kogatende airstrip. The only meaningful game drive happened on the final morning, and only after concerns were raised directly with the company.     •    Unsafe, unfit vehicle: The guide’s car was an old open model that repeatedly broke down, including a muffler failure that left us stuck on the road. At one point, we were taken to a garage during game drive hours.     •    Professional concerns: The guide admitted he could not reliably manage the vehicle and attempted to borrow a relative’s car. There was minimal concern for safety or the quality of the safari experience.     •    Broken promises: Binoculars that were confirmed in writing were never provided. While lodges, flights, and the hot air balloon were delivered, the core safari experience, was significantly disrupted. The company issued a partial refund of USD 1,250, but this only covered a small portion of the losses. Update: After posting the review, the owner asked us to remove it, claiming one bad experience shouldn’t reflect their company. This was our one and only experience, and it was severely disrupted. It’s important to leave this review so future travelers can make informed decisions. Additionally, while the wildebeest migration was impressive, our car arrived last, we were stuck in the back, and the driver could not get us closer. The company’s marketing implies an “unforgettable safari experience,” but in reality, this was not delivered.

I paid over USD 5,000 for a 3-day safari with Msangai Tours, and what I received was nothing close to what was promised. The trip was poorly organized, unsafe, and deeply disappointing. Key issues: • Missed game drives: Day 1 had no proper drive, just a transfer to the lodge. Day 2 was largely wasted due to delays and breakdowns. • Abandonment: Left for 2.5 hours at Kogatende airstrip with no guide, no communication, and no safe transport. • Unsafe, unfit vehicle: Given an old open vehicle (never disclosed beforehand) that broke down repeatedly, including a muffler failure that left us blocking traffic. • Garage stop during safari: Instead of a game drive, we were taken to a garage while the car was being fixed – unacceptable for paying clients. • Broken promises: Binoculars, a basic safari necessity, were promised but never provided. • Unprofessional guiding: The guide admitted his car was failing, tried to borrow a relative’s, and showed little concern for safety or experience. Yes, the lodges were fine and the hot air balloon was enjoyable (booked through another operator), but the safari itself, the core of the trip, was essentially undelivered. I did eventually receive a small partial refund of $1250 USD, but it does not make up for the wasted time, stress, and lost experience. Bottom line: If you are considering booking with Msangai Tours, I strongly advise against it. There are many other operators in Tanzania who deliver safe, professional, and reliable safaris.

We did a 4-day safari and it was absolutely unforgettable. The company was excellent overall, but what truly made our experience extraordinary was our guide, James. From the very beginning, James went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. He was attentive to all our needs, incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and environment, and an expert driver through every terrain. What stood out even more was his warmth and genuine passion for his work. We highly recommend this tour company!

The trip was incredible. Lodging and campsites exceeded my expectations. My guide, Emanuel, was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to locate safari animals. I loved every moment of this trip and I highly recommend the company.

At first we're worried due not knowing the company but since the begging they were proactive and provided us all the information we needed. By arriving in Arusha they made us feel very comfortable and the safari game were great. We're able to see all animals, very very close and the driver, Regan, is very responsible and gentle. Every time we needed support, Erick provided all information. I can't recommend more. If you're looking for a Safari Game in Tanzania, go with Msangai.

Super easy to email a responsive Zee who provided a daily itinerary and all went well with transferring the money for our group. Eric drove us between requested transfer locations. James was a fantastic guide and driver, he knew his stuff and ensured a safe drive despite some engine issues and road conditions. We saw all the Big 5 (rhino from afar) and even more animals than expected. Also the hotels and details exactly matched the itinerary (bar one change), but they were all of a high quality with super friendly staff. Fantastic experience, would highly recommend!!
