Maasai Mara National Reserve er et område af bevaret savannahylde i det sydvestlige Kenya, langs den tanzaniske grænse. Dens dyr omfatter løver, cheetahs, elefanter, zebraer og hippos. Wildebeest krydser sine sletter under deres årlige migration. Landskabet har græsfyldte sletter og rullende bakker, og krydses af Mara og Talek floder. Afhentning tid er bekræftet efter booking afhængigt af din placering. Vi afhenter også fra lejligheder, hjemmeophold, hoteller og Air bnb's. Vi mødes op fra din hotel looby / reception. Vi tilbyder gratis lufthavn gratis afhentning for ankommer gæster om morgenen af safari. Chaufføren vil møde dem på Paul caffe med en pager for nem identifikation.

Overall good experience! The pick-up went smooth, we were picked up on time at our hotel and driven to the meeting point. They were also flexible with moving dates which was immensely appreciated! The lodges they booked for us were a positive surprise, semi-permanent tents with quite good food, private bathroom and hot water! The tour includes a shorter game drive on the first afternoon, maybe 3 hours. During this run we got to see a couple of the more common animals keeping in close proximity to the gate. The second day we did a full 10-12 hour safari going deep into the park. We got to see some rare sightings such as a cheetah eating an impala. The third day we visited a Maasai village briefly before heading back to Nairobi. Our guide Mark was a very efficient driver getting us quickly around and spending decent and adequate time at the different sightings. He was knowledgeable about the reserve and the animals but did not share so much unprompted. He was also quite brief in his answers, we would have liked to see some more storytelling and explanations. The drop-off was a bit chaotic in Nairobi were a host ended up booking an Uber on our behalf we had to pay for in cash. It was indeed specified that the excursion would end in the city centre, but it would have been smoother if one could have had the final transportation leg pre-paid and included. There was also a bit confusion surrounding this, and we were under the impression that the bureau would arrange the transport from the drop-off to the final destination. The Uber driver also did not want to receive payment in USD, which was not clarified beforehand (although resolved at the destination) All this taken into consideration, we had a good experience and can recommend this tour!
This safari was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, and the value for money was incredible. Every single penny was worth it, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Kenya. Our guide, Chris, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and clearly very experienced. He always seemed to know exactly where to go, how to position the vehicle for the best views, and how to give us the best possible chance of seeing wildlife without disturbing the animals. Watching him compared to other guides, it was obvious how skilled he was. Thanks to him, we saw four of the Big Five, as well as countless other incredible animals. I know some people wonder whether the first day’s game drive is worth it because it’s only a couple of hours, but I can honestly say it absolutely is. The evening game drive offers a completely different experience from the full-day safari the following day. We saw different animal behaviour and had sightings that made those first few hours incredibly worthwhile. I wouldn’t skip it. The entire trip was very well organised. Pickup and drop-off were smooth and hassle-free, making the whole experience stress-free from beginning to end. The accommodation was exactly what I expected for this type of safari. It’s a basic camp, but it was clean, comfortable, had mosquito nets, and everything we needed. I genuinely had no complaints. The meals provided three times a day were also good and perfectly satisfying after long days out on safari. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. From seeing lions, a leopard, cheetahs, elephants, and so much more in their natural habitat to having such a knowledgeable guide, everything exceeded my expectations. I would book this safari again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Maasai Mara experience.

Chris was an amazing guide. He knew exactly where to go for us to get the most out of our safari, and knew how to answer all of our questions. We got to see elephants, giraffes, pumbas, lions, crocodiles, ostriches, hippos, zebras, gnus, water buffalos, vultures, various kinds of antelopes, and even a cheetah and a leopard! Chris took great care not to disturb the animals while still allowing us to get very close to them, which I appreciated. Our group was staying at the Rhino tourist camps, and their service was impeccable. While it is a budget camp, all rooms had electricity and warm water for showers, and Jackson, the manager, was always available to help. Picky eaters watch out: while breakfast and dinner were very good, lunch consisted of a sad sandwich, a dry piece of chicken, and some snacks. Enough to sustain (though you should consider bringing extra snacks) but nothing fancy.
