Den længst kørende surfskole i Lahaina, Fedtmule Foot blev etableret på Maui i april 1994 af ejeren/instruktøren Tim Sherer for at fastholde sit forhold til Mother Ocean og for at undervise i den gamle hawaiianske surfingsport. Vi er dedikerede til at give professionelle surflektioner til alle niveauer af håbefulde studerende i en ånd af sjov og læring. Vi er forpligtet til at facilitere det højeste niveau af oplevelse for vores gæster med fokus på undervisning i sikkerhed, havbevidsthed og surfing fundamentals. Studerende er garanteret at stå op og ride mindst én bølge, og endnu flere får en smart tilgang til at lære at surfe, der er baseret på teknik og grundlæggende, som de kan bruge til at accelerere indlæringen på egen hånd.

My 12yr old daughter and I surfed with Goofy Foot in late March and both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She got up on the board every time and it was her favorite activity for the week in Maui! Theo was our instructor and he was great with instruction and patience to tell us about what to do with each wave and what to expect. We saw a photographer with another company on the roadside parking and asked him to take our photos - he agreed and those photos were priceless!

This was a highlight of our family trip! My husband, 3 kids, and myself had the best time learning to surf. Javier was an awesome instructor. If you’re considering surf lessons, book this one!

This was my first time surfing and to my surprise I caught several waves! Javier was great at teaching and breaking down how to do every step to make sure I succeeded. Even when I wiped out he was still very encouraging. If it’s your first time or not, I definitely recommend.

One of the best things we did on the island. Javier was an amazing instructor and took the time to give us a good lesson at the start that made sure we both were able to surf. I brought my 12 year old son and he had the best time and was surfing like a pro. I highly recommend if you’re looking for surfing lessons while on Maui.

I never write reviews but wanted to tell everyone about Goofy Foot Surf School. We were in Maui last week for a family vacation and booked a group surf lesson with them. They were highly recommended by the condo that we stayed at. The lessons were the highlight of our trip! My kids are 14 and 9 and had never surfed before and were all able to get up on the board and surf! I am probably the least coordinated person and I was able to get up and surf as well! My kids did so well and rode the waves multiple times. It was amazing to see! Our instructor, Junior, was great. He was patient, knowledgeable and funny! If you will be in Maui and are thinking about learning to surf, I highly recommend Goofy Foot Surf School. You will not be disappointed!

Wow! What an amazing experience! We booked a lesson for both of our kiddos, 13 and 10, and it was their first time trying it. We thought they were gonna have a hard time but no….they had a blast! Junior was their instructor. They had some instruction time in the sand and then went out to the water. First wave and both of them did it! They got better and better as they got more confident and Junior was always helping and giving them some tips. He was patient, energetic and so cool! In the end they even got a delicious treat from him. Me and my husband were watching from the beach not only our kids but also the groups with other instructors from the school and we noticed that they all went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a good time and would actually catch a wave. Their effort, dedication, enthusiasm was amazing. I couldn’t recommend Goofy Foot enough. They are just the best.

Amazing! Our family of 4 were all able to get up and surf. Turns out our son loves it, so he went back a couple days later and did it again. We are coming back to Maui next year and will book this team again. Highly recommend!!

Very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole class. Took the time to explain what to do and when. Stayed close by and observant the entire time.

Great day with Fabio and team. Fantastic instruction, easy location to get to, and great waves for beginners. My ten year old took the lesson and had a great time and they took extra care of him to help him get past the break. He’s tired out now but loved it. Mahalo Goofy Foot!

Great experience for my kids to learn how to surf. Staff was super good with kids and older adults. Kids really enjoyed their time learning to surf and had great instructors. Saw some whales which was a plus for the kids.
