Beskrivelse
Kom og nyd "byens hundrede kirker" på denne 2-timers vandretur. Denne magiske by Lucca er lavet af festningsstilarkitektur fra 1500- og 1600-tallet. I modsætning til de fleste byer er Lucca et roligt og langsomt tempo, hvor du kan slappe af på din tur. Fra Amfiteaterpladsen lærer du, hvordan det blev bygget på ruinerne af en romersk arena, hvilket giver det sin ovulære form. Herefter rejser vi ned ad shoppinggaden via Fillungo, hvor du kan få en bid at spise og shoppe. Derefter går vi til Piazza San Martino, som er hjemsted for flere vigtige monumenter, herunder San Martino-katedralen (Duomo di San Martino), bygget i 1070. While our guide was professional and polite, this tour was a shadow of other private tours we have taken in other cities. Usually on a private tour you have an enthusiastic and friendly guide who is excited to share information both historical and cultural. Our guide was very exact on the historical elements of the tour and covered the main things you need to see in Lucca but we could have easily read this information ourselves. We didn't feel like we had the "extra" experience you tend to have with a private tour and came away feeling that we would not recommend it to a friend. It would have been more fun to have an audio guide and walk it ourselves. Our guide did not seem to like her job very much which is a little unfortunate.
Dear Helena, thank you for your review. It is very sad to read you did not enjoy the tour. During a private tour a visitor is free to ask the guide what he/she prefers to see. Lucca is full of art and Gilda tried to give you the best of the city, talking about art, history, lifestyle of the locals and food. After reading your comment I talked to Gilda. She told me the exact words you ended the tour with her: " thank you for the wonderful introduction of the town. We really appreciated it ". These words do not match with your review. Lucca is lovely, and our guide was lovely as well! We saw so many things and learned a lot about the history of the town! The churches and walls were the most amazing!
