Had an absolutely incredible scuba diving experience with private guide Cesar and Lucas. From start to finish, everything felt relaxed, safe, and perfectly tailored to what I love most about diving—underwater photography.

Went out with Lucas the divemaster. There were only myself and wife. Some places might have cancelled it for not having more people - they didn't. Little sporty getting out but once we got out a little piece did calm a little. Lucas explained the dive and dive profile nicely. Spotted a frogfish that we would have missed. Good dive. SI was spent on shore and they brought pineapple, homemade muffins, and water. Second dive was at a different site and was just as good. Not dove nearly as much as Cozumel or Roatan. After the dive Lucas washed and put our gear out to dry. They set up the gear for you too and take it from the shop to the boat. We have dove many places with many divemasters and he ranks at the very top. When we come back will go here again.

Wonderful dive masters-beautiful healthy reef! Barry was the best! I hadn’t dived since last spring, and I’m a newbie as well (10 dives). Dr. Dive assigned me an amazingly patient and professional dive master to assist me with my dive. I would recommend 100%

Good dive outfit. Had a cool dive guide and we stayed down 50 minutes each dive. Cleaned my gear after we were done for the day. Will definitely dive with them again when I return.

We had an awesome 2 tank dive along the Mayan coast! Anthony did an amazing job of guiding us along the coral reef to see loggerhead turtle, lionfish, lobster, porcupine fish, sting rays, etc. We were served muffins and pineapple during our service interval. Captain Rambo did a great job boating through rough seas. The shop was clean and the staff was very friendly. The carried our five gear to the boat and cleaned it before we left.

price is 95, mask find etc is extra. But not bad. Taxi from cruise port is $5. Great dive. You roll off the side of the boat rather than jump off the back.

I was a little apprehensive at first being a solo diver and this was the first time I booked dives while on a cruise. I met Carlos who put me at ease and the dive master greeted me as well. The 2 dives were awesome! The group I dove with were great, the views were spectacular and we even hunted lion fish and had ceviche after the 2nd dive. I would highly recommend Doctor Dive for their ability and their welcoming spirit.

I did 2 dives to work towards my certification . The team was very professional and affable. I highly recommend them if you want to scuba in Mahahual. Tony in particular was excellent

Professional, efficient, and friendly dive team at Dive Doctor at Costa Maya. Short taxi ride takes you from the cruise terminal for $5/ person. The beach at the shop is beautiful! They accommodate cruise passengers.

At costa Maya they have a fee for solo travelers. If you need a taxi they charged 10 dollars. I was lucky to find some other travelors for my way out to my dive to share the expense. It was a short drive to a peaceful area to take the scuba dive. After our dive where we saw several lovely things. We walked back from the boat to the shop for a short rest time and had pine apple and lime water. It was wonderful. The second dive we saw two lovely turtles it was the reef called the fingers and was a beautiful dive. Then I caught a taxi back to the port for 10 dollars and rejoined my cruise by about 2:00 PM so it was plenty of time to enjoy lunch on the boat.
