Gouda er verdensberømt på grund af sin ost. Vi stopper foran Vejehuset og der er tid til at fotografere det, og vi vil fortælle nogle sjove fakta om Gouda ost og Vejehuset. Vi bliver her omkring 5 til 10 minutter.
Vi passerer turfmarkedet med dets unikke bygninger og fortæller noget om denne kanals historie.
Monumentet vi også kommer forbi er visbanken. Det var et sted for fiskehandel (Haring og laks). Tid til billeder og nogle sjove fakta. Vi bliver her i omkring 5 minutter.
Vi kommer forbi Gouwekerk, opkaldt efter floden Gouwe.
Vi stopper selvfølgelig ved museum Gouda! Jeg vil fortælle dig om museets historie. Fordi det er så dejligt at se de små kanaler og selvfølgelig St. Jan bliver vi her i omkring 15 minutter.

Susanne was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and went out of her way to accommodate our interests. It was an enjoyable small group experience which she was able to tailor to our interests. The meeting point was her home very close to the main part of Gouda and was very cute and was decorated to showcase her outgoing personality... A true hidden gem of a tour!
My daughter and I had a lovely experience on this tour. Our host lived very near the parts of town covered by the tour and had lots to say about everything. She also gave my daughter some snacks and a little toy, all of which was very appreciated!
What a fun tour! Suzanna is a super gracious, enjoyable and knowledgeable guide and you will feel like she's your friend within seconds. It was just my husband and myself with one other man on the tour and even though it rained, we had a great time. Suzanna shows you bits of history you wouldn't discover on your own and is just delightful.
The heatwave was overwhelming and the government advice was to stay home as even the shops were closing in Holland. Aged 70 and in onset 38 degrees, we became unwell and took the advice that a walking tour would be too much. I requested to rearrange our tour a week later. No replies to 3 emails. Just ignored, just SO rude. I complained but the seller still wouldn't honour the tour time change, because we had requested it 23 hrs before expiry, not 24. Fair enough but clearly, they have so many customers, that they couldn't give a monkey's about us. Rather keep £30 and receive bad feedback. It was exceptional in the heatwave and we don't have spare funds to book it again. I asked twice. No thanks Trip Advisor. No more of our business. TA: you should have overridden this and shown occasional kindness.
Susanne makes Gouda come alive! She is a fun loving, warmhearted local guide who makes you look @ old buildings in a new way with her stories & love for her city. Definitely recommended!
Great host and tour guide. Informative about the history of Gouda followed by a superb recommendation for dinner in Gouda afterwards.
Our local guide was very welcoming and gracious. Suzanna offered insights to history, customs, food and dining. She customized the tour to our interests ending up back at our hotel. We even went to a cheese shop at our request and tasted samples while learning about the different types. It was a wonderful and memorable tour!
Wow is all I can say... But I will try to do a bit better. We had the most amazing walking tour in Gouda. This is not a normal walking tour, this is instead a chance to walk the streets with a real resident and experience the city. To my wife and I we felt more like meeting up with a long lost friend. I can't say enough good words about our experience. If you want to learn facts and dates about Gouda you can do that and you will - but even better you will get to really communicate in a meaningful way with a local. BOOK a walk NOW! Price was a bargain and the walk size is kept very small.
