The tour couldn't have been better. I was met at the airport by my guide, Carol Chen and our driver. At my previous request, we began the tour immediately. On our way to the terra cotta warriors Carol provided great background on the emperor for whom they were created, the discovery of the warriors and the restoration efforts. Things only got better from there: the hotel (the Wyndham Grand Xi'an South) was excellent with an incredible breakfast and a great pool and gym. Everything was customized to what I wanted to see, to my pace (I don't like to stop) and to fitting everything in. The driver was great, the car spacious and comfortable and Carol knowledgeable, always trying to see how she could make my experience better and great at providing history and background.

We loved our tour and Xi’An! Carol, our guide, was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and helpful. She went way beyond what might be expected, helping to ensure our time on the tour and our evenings on our own were easy to navigate and memorable. All of her recommendations were excellent. She was also very accommodating, helping us pick activities that were just right for our abilities and the heat. I cannot imagine our trip would have been half as special without her excellent guidance. Mr. Han, our driver, was also very kind to drop us off at places we requested to avoid a lot of walking in the heat.

My tour guide, Roger Yang was incredibly helpful and thorough. He even helped me to procure a SIM card, so I was able to get connected to data-web in China. The local SIM card allowed me to use WeChat Weixin to pay for things in China with my cellphone seamlessly. All the tour spots in my itinerary, like Terracotta Army Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall Park, Great Mosque & Muslim Quarter were eye-opening and amazing. The evening dinner & musical show "The Empress of the Great Tang" recommendation he made was so far above my expectation. At the end of my Xi'An trip he also escorted me inside the train station to make sure I'd get on the correct train plus what station to get off. I enjoyed my Xi'An so much. Kudzu to Roger! Job well done.

This was part of a 19 day tour booked through Travel China Guide. Our tour guide for Xian was Celine, she was amazing catering to our every need. She arranged for an early start to the Terracotta Army meaning we beat the crowds. Celine told us about the fabulous evening culture walkable from our hotel and made sure we knew exactly how to get there and back. Her recommendation of the free fountain show was superb and a highlight of our time in Xian. Everyone was so friendly, which we found was the norm everywhere we went. The locals couldn't speak much English and we speak even less Chinese however they wanted to converse with us using translation apps on our phones. The Muslim street where we had lunch on the last day was a lovely end to our time in Xian. It's the place to buy your souvenirs. I would highly recommend booking with Travel China Guide. You won't be disappointed.

We spent two days and two nights in Xi’an. Tracy was our private tour guide during these two days and she accompanied us everywhere: she picked us up from the train station and dropped us off at the airport. The full two day tour was planned very professionally (hotels, restaurants, driver, etc) and everything went smoothly. Tracy is local to Xian, so all the recommendations she made is for restaurants, local markets, evening walks, etc were perfect. We highly recommend working with her and this tour company.

This was our 2nd destination with Travel China Guides. We were pleasantly greeted at the train station by our guide, Celine, and the driver (Mrs Liu) who helped us take our bags to the car. They drove us to the holiday inn big wild goose pagoda which was a great hotel. The next morning we were taken to the terra-cotta warriors, which was beyond our expectations. Of note, Celine took the time on the drive over to do an excellent job of explaining the history behind that emperor and his Terracotta Army. She then took us to a fabulous restaurant on site for some yummy local noodles. After that we visited the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and were given a very informative tour. We finished the day at the Muslim market and mosque which we throughly enjoyed. The following day, they took us to the Xi’an city wall where we biked on the top (very fun). Lastly, we went to the Han Yangling Mausoleum which dovetailed well with the Terracotta Army. Celine and Mrs Liu were exceptional. Celine’s English, knowledge of history, and passion for tour guiding made our visit so special. We as a team of five spent two days with our travel guider Lily, she was so nice to organize the whole trip per our request, and very professional to introduce the whole journey and helped us know the city and Chinese history in a much better way. She's also very friend and patient, her recommendation of food are very good in terms of quality, price, service, environment etc. It is not an easy work to provide such a high quality service with the two days raining. Thanks a lot for her help to make this journey a wonderful one.

My family recently moved to Beijing and we wanted to travel within China over a short weekend. Cindy at Travel China Guide took care of everything from the train bookings to the hotel and the tickets to the Terra Cotta Warriors and other attractions. Roger was a helpful guide and was good with our two young children. Xi'an was a great city to visit, we really enjoyed the Terra Cotta Warriors and the Muslim Quarter "Snack Street". The Wild Goose Pagoda was impressive but not much to do there. However, the refurbished "Chinatown" area across the street is spectacularly lighted at night with lots of great food stalls and people-watching to be had. Thanks to Cindy, Roger, and the rest of Travel China Guide staff who helped for a good weekend!

Our visit to Xi’an was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Much of this is due to our guide, Jackie. He was the epitome of a professional guide, knowledgeable, organized, informative and very personable. In one and a half days we visited the Terracotta Army Museum, the City Wall and the Muslim Quarter, the Shaanxi History Museum, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and had a wonderful lunch with a local family (who went out of her way to accommodate my wife’s food allergies).
