En af de mest foretrukne ture i Cusco er In Sacred Valley of Inka med en videre forbindelse til den ikoniske Incan-citadel, Machu Picchu. We did the two day sacred valley and Machu Picchu tour with Happy Gringo tours and we had an amazing experience. Day 1- we visited Chinchero, Moray, Maras and the Ollantaytambo inca site and it was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Edwardo did an amazing job. He made sure we had enough time at each site and took care of us till the drop off at the train station Day 2- was the incredible Machu Picchu tour. Everything was organized well. Special mention and thanks to our guide Mauro. He did an amazing job and he made our Machu pichu experience seamless and memorable
Don’t let this happen to you! All the way to Machu Picchu and left at the entrance with no guide and no tickets. All the way to Peru and we don’t get to see MP. Horrible communication (I have screen shots of the constant lack of direction or answering my urgent calls . Missed dream vacation, so close…..They returned my booking cost but not all the cost to travel to Peru and above all you can’t take away the disappointment.

We did the 2 day tour with Ruben as our tour guide. He was amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable about all the sites that we visited. He made our trip so easy and enjoyable, would now call him a friend. Would thoroughly recommend doing a tour with Happy Gringos, and ask for Ruben if possible!

Myself and another friend had a brilliant time for the 2 days with our guide Ruben. We learned so much about the Inca history from Ruben, and also had so much fun. The tour was seamless and we did not have to worry about many logistics! Ruben guided us all the way through each destination. All in all I would have to recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting this area.

We originally booked a two-day hike, which the company cancelled on September 11th. As a replacement, we accepted their Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour, which very clearly included hotel pickup, multiple Sacred Valley sites (Chinchero, Moray, Salt Mines, Ollantaytambo), lunch in Urubamba, a train ride to Aguas Calientes, hotel accommodation, and a guided visit to Machu Picchu. This is not what was delivered. • The day before the tour, I had to chase the company for details, only to be vaguely told we would travel “by car.” No proper explanation, no clear itinerary. • On the morning of departure, just 15 minutes before pickup, I was suddenly informed there would be no hotel pickup and we had to walk to a meeting point. • Instead of visiting the Sacred Valley sites we paid for, we endured a 7-hour uncomfortable car ride with only one stop, no water, and no food until 2:30pm. The drive felt unsafe at times and everyone in our group was carsick. • None of the promised Sacred Valley highlights were included. • Communication throughout the day was poor. We had little idea what was happening, and the guide seemed focused on rushing us through Machu Picchu just to stay on schedule. I understand that train issues and protests can happen, but what is unacceptable is how this company handled the situation: • No timely updates. • No transparency that the Sacred Valley portion had been cancelled. • No option to cancel or reschedule. • No accountability afterwards—when I followed up to raise these issues, the company read my message but never responded. We spent a significant amount of money on this tour and did not receive what was promised or what we paid for. Instead of a well-organized Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu experience, we were given a long, uncomfortable car ride and a rushed visit to Machu Picchu. This company’s lack of communication, professionalism, and responsibility made for one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a reliable operator who will actually deliver what you book—or at the very least, communicate honestly when they cannot.

This was a phenomenal experience!! We learned so much about the culture and history of the Incas and the Quechuan culture. Sacred valley was beautiful and each stop was well crafted to learn and it built up to the amazing Machu Picchu experience. Our guide Mauro went out of his way to help us get extra tickets to Huchuy Picchu last minute so that we could have an amazing view in addition to the included tour of the citadel. He took fantastic photos and videos of us the whole time. Even though my sister was scared, he guided my sister through the Huchuy Picchu hike so well and gave us a lot of confidence and inspiration. I would highly recommend this tour.

I booked a two-day Japanese guided tour from Cusco around the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, but they contacted me the night before the tour to tell me that they would have an English guided tour. When I asked him why, he said it was because there was no hope of a Japanese guide other than me. They told me that they would not be able to provide a Japanese guide unless there were at least two applicants, so when and by what means did you tell them? When I asked him, he replied that he should come to the office. It was very unpleasant to be told unilaterally that a Japanese guide would not be available the night before the tour which could not be cancelled. Naturally, we couldn't cancel, so we went on the tour. It was a trip to Machu Picchu on the second day. The detailed email of the tour said that we would be up early to see the sunrise in Machu Picchu, but on the second day we received an email saying that our guide would be there to pick us up at 8am. I sent an email to confirm that, and they replied that if you want to see the sunrise, go alone. One-sidedly communicate the day before without explaining in advance that a Japanese guide is not available. Add the sunrise in Machu Picchu, which you can't even do, to the tour guide. It is a very sloppy and dishonest tour company. It is not recommended to use this tour company. It was really unpleasant.

WORST GROUP EVER! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. They duped us for the entire trip. They did not book one ticket for Machu pichu after confirming 5 times. We had to stay one more night, that took a toll on my entire Perú trip resulting in further hotel and flight cancellations as we did not want to meet Machu Pichu. Additionally the guides kept leaving us and they too were misinformed by the company and were forced to lie to us about their mistake. Complete lack of commitment and they kept lying to us and made us wait in the hotel for 4 hours asking us to be patient shamelessly. Even after paying almost 500 USD for a confirmed ticket we had to incur these additional losses.
