Er du på udkig efter at se det bedste af Ketchikan på kort tid med håb om dyreliv? Tongass Trolley Tour er til dig! Nyd seværdighederne, mens din guide deler Ketchikan's farverige historie i en replikeret 1800-tals kabelbanevogn. Du begynder rejsen med en kort køretur forbi en ørnest til Saxman Native Village, hvor du vil se en samling af Tlingit og Haida totem poler. Din guide vil dele den rige kulturelle historie, mens vi passerer gennem landsbyen. Efter en køretur langs kysten er dit første stop en lille bugt for en mulighed for at se dyrelivet. Selvfølgelig er vilde dyr aldrig garanteret, men der er en god chance for observationer på dette sted. På til Rainbow Falls hvor du vil stoppe for at nyde et fotoop foran de smukke fald. Efter den naturskønne kystkørsel tilbage til byen, vil vi stoppe ved Totem Heritage Center for at se autentiske indfødte artefakter, regaliaer, totempoler og udskæringer. Vi vil afslutte turen, hvor vi begyndte, eller i det historiske kvarter af Creek Street.

Vi går fra borde i Herring Cove for muligheden for at se sortbjørne, spættede sæler, ørne og laks svømme opstrøms. Dyrelivet er aldrig garanteret, fordi de er vilde, men vi har en god chance for at se dem her.
Når vi ankommer tilbage til byen, er vi glade for at droppe alle gæster på den historiske Creek Street til lidt shopping, hvis de har lyst, eller vi tager dig tilbage til det sted, vi hentede i Vistors Center på Front Street.
Lær om de fem forskellige arter af laks, vi har i Ketchikan, mens du ser laksen, der svømmer og hopper op af en rasende å for at nå deres gydepladser for at lægge deres æg.
Vi stopper ved Rainbow Falls kendt for sin tåge forårsaget af det rasende vandfald. Hvis det er en solskinsdag, skaber tågen en regnbue hen over vandfaldene, deraf navnet. Det er en fantastisk fotomulighed.
City Park plejede at være et rugeri med små vadedamme, hvor fiskene blev dyrket, indtil de var store nok til at svømme rundt i Stillehavet og vende tilbage til åen, hvor de blev født.
Totem Heritage Center er på National Register of Historical Places for sin samling af autentiske 19th Century totem poler. Desuden vedligeholder centret en samling af udskæringer, kurve, regaliaer og fotografier. for at vise sagens arv af lokale indfødte stammer.

It is a ride with a few stops. Wildlife viewing is not guaranteed so we only saw bold eagles. Our guide Christopher made it up with a wealth of information and a great sense of humor. A stop at the totem museum was great - wished we had more time there.
Trolley tour was very easy to find, right across from visitors center. My husband rides a mobility scooter and they were able to store the scooter at the office inside til we got back. Thanks again for the great tour! We also saw lots of amazing eagles!
Chris was our driver and guide. He did everything to make our excursion enjoyable and informative. He had large and sweet personality. He was extremely accommodating and went the extra mile to make sure that his trolley adventure would please both adults and kids. Highly recommended.
I signed my husband and I up for a Trolley Tour in Ketchikan 6/26/26. My husband, unfortunately, could not go so it was just me. Turns out I was the only one for the noon tour. I was escorted around by Amanda. OMGOSH…it was amazing having my own private tour. She did AMAZING!!! She is so personable, sweet, kind, and fun. I had the BEST time!!!!!! She told me so much history and this tour was exactly what I was looking for!!! The waterfall and feeding the eagles was the best!! She picked some salmon berries for me to try. I went home with salmon berry jelly!! I have slight mobility issues and she took great care of me assisting me in/out of the van, walking on uneven surfaces, getting me close to the waterfall. Amanda shared videos with me of the bears since we didn’t see them. We got to see the salmon spawning. She escorted me to the shuttle bus to assure I was on the correct one. She gave me a big hug!! Kiddos to your company for a top notch tour and for employing Amanda…she is a big asset!! I would give her 10 stars if that was an option.
It’s a good way to get about if you don’t have transport … and if you’re lucky you may get to see some good stuff in Herring Cove, but IMO you could probably pinpoint the things you fancy and go there direct / independently
Amanda was our guide. She did an awesome job working for us to see wildlife. We saw black bears, eagles which she fed. We got some great pictures. She gave us a good over view of Ketchikan and took where we could get some local smoked salmon. It was delicious and a great tour.
Amanda was awesome! The best tour of our cruise. Seeing the eagles was a highlight that I will never forget. Amanda went out of her way to give us an outstanding tour. She was so knowledgeable. She treated us like family. I can’t say enough good things about her. Thank you so much. I highly recommend.

I wanted to do an excursion like we've done in the past that is more personal and more one on one interactions. So we decided to do trolley ride and got much more than our expectations. First we received a call asking to change the time, but we couldn't since we were limited on how many hours we were staying in Ketchikan. We decided to stay with the designated time thinking this isn't a good start. We met up with the women who greeted us at the visitor center. I wish I knew her name because from that moment my attitude changed about our excursion. She was friendly and knowledgeable plus showed us some pics of a bear going through her trash. She was very entertaining and we could tell she enjoyed her job. She talked the whole time and even walked with us while waiting for our driver. At the time we were the only couple but they ended up picking up another couple for the tour before we left. We ended up taking a smaller shuttle bus which is fine for only 4 people. Juan was our driver and tour guide. We got picked up and he drove us to different sites on the island. It was nice that he was local so was very knowledgeable about the areas and spoke to us in great detail about everywhwere we went. He was very passionate about his job and we enjoyed all the information he shared. He had connections to private beaches that we were able to get on that other tourists cant and had insight to the best bear and eagle viewings and was going to make sure we saw both. Someeone like him who actually hunts, fishes and lives there was a big bonus. We had other excursions and they flew in their guides for peak seasons and then left. Juan is a permanent resident so he is there when the peak season is over. I can't say enough of how great he is about his job and passionate about all the wildlife and beauties around the island. He was a great tour guide and 5 stars isn't enough! I hope he reads this and by far made this one of our best excursions we ever been on. Thanks again !! Ohh if you do get lucky enough to get him let him show you the 550 lb Halibut he caught,lol.
We had Christopher as our tour guide, he was amazing. We saw Bear, Deer, lots of bald eagles, and so much more. He shared his vast knowledge of this town and it's people. This tour is worth every dime. Would do it again in a heartbeat
