Saigon som byen er stadig ofte omtalt som Vietnams største by. I 1859 blev byen erobret af franskmændene og blev hovedstad i Indokina. Fra 1956 til dets dramatiske fald i april 1975 var det hovedstaden i den USA-støttede Republik Vietnam. Vi vil besøge følgende steder af interesse om morgenen: Genforeningspaladset: Den 30. april 1975 sluttede Vietnamkriget officielt, da tank nummer 843 fra den nordvietnanske hær styrtede gennem porten af, hvad der på det tidspunkt var hjemsted for præsidenten for Republikken Vietnam.
War Remnants Museum: Tidligere kendt som Museum of American War Crimes, er dette en skarp visning af krigsfornøjlen. Nogle af de sort / hvide fotografering i 'Requiem'-udstillingen er særligt rørende, dedikeret til både udenlandske og vietnamesiske journalister og fotografer, der omkom under konflikten. Gården udenfor indeholder krigsskildene, nemlig rustningstråler, tanke og kanoner fanget fra den amerikanske militærmaskine.
Det gamle posthus er et andet eksempel på fransk kolonistarkitektur og er også landets største posthus.
Jade Emperor Pagoda: Bygget i 1909 til ære for den højeste taoistiske gud, dette er et af de mest spektakulært atmosfæriske templer i HCMC, fyldt med statuer af fantasiske guddomme og groteske helte. Røgens røgende røg fylder luften og dækker de udsøgte træskæringer.

Had a great afternoon with Stark and our driver in our OG American Jeep . Rolling in style round the streets of Saigon chilled water and beer on hand if needed . We Visited The Jaded Pagoda which you could easily pass by if you didn’t know it was there ,Saigon PO ,the Notre Dame cathedral, The Grand Palace ,The War Remnants Museum and as the tour is tailored to “US “ the Russian market. Stark was very knowledgeable and amusing and tailored the tour to our needs . We would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone. 100% 5*

We had a morning city tour and afternoon cyclo tour. Turned out we were the only two on the cyclo tour, so a personal experience! Camellia was a lovely, friendly guide who took the time to explain every area we went to. Highly recommend the whole tour. Viet who too us on the group minibus tour in the morning was also awesome and very informative and friendly. A must do for near the start of your trip. The cyclo in particular is an eye opener for Saigon daily life and traffic!! A bit hairy in parts but great fun!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The two temples and the cyclone and the warm museum were very very interesting. My two guide Luan was incredible. He was so professional and excellent at his job. I was feeling a bit unwell, but he really looked upcoming and such a professional and kind man. I would really recommend Asiana link travel for all your needs. The price was also very competitive. In fact I think for the amount of stuff that they do and the good air-conditioned vehicles, it was pretty reasonable.

We were picked up promptly this morning by our guide for today, Manh. We were whisked around the city expertly by our driver, all the while being given valuable information by Manh. He spoke perfect English and we enjoyed his company immensely. We loved visiting the Saigon Post Office, the War Remnants Museum, a market, the Independence Palace and other tourist attractions. We did a private tour with Anthony and he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and proud of this beautiful city, as well as taking lots of photos for us, and making sure we were comfortable the whole time. The tour took us through major attractions in HCMC, and some we would never have found on our own. Lunch was a lovely 5 course meal at a local restaurant serving traditional food. The “Thousand Buddha” pagoda was the highlight for me, as well as the Cyclo ride. A great way to see the city when you have a short period of time.
