Nice scenery, good weather and overall a good experience! Our guide Eric took good care of us throughout the journey, also our driver for the trip.
This tour is a must for anyone visiting Taiwan. Our tour guide was very friendly and helpful every step of the way. We enjoyed riding on the gondola and trying the food at the indigenous restaurant. The lake is beautiful and we loved getting to visit the temples as well. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Taiwan that wants to get the full experience.
To be honest Sun Moon Lake is like many other leisure areas you can find on several continents. It is nice but nothing extraordinary. What made this trip extraordinary, were the visits to 3 shrines located at the lake and the fact that we visited them during the sunset. The views to the lakes through the roofs of the shrines were stunning.
Kylie was so friendly, helpful and informative. The driver was also excellent. Whole journey was very comfortable.

Only the two of us were on the tour so it was a 'private' tour. Our guide was experienced. Fluent English. He drove the car in and out of back roads, kept up a running narrative of the countryside and what we were seeing. Nice lunch, We saw the lake from many angles, a couple pagodas.
Trip was fantastic and nicely arranged. Having 2 young kids with us, this option gave us flexibility even on an express tour, for example kids wanting to spend some time at the adventure park. Esther as a tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Slightly pricey but I would recommend to anyone who is short of time and wants to cover Sun Moon Lake in a day’s time

A little on the pricey side, but Phoebe was a fun English speaking tour guide. She had a lot of energy and kept us on schedule. It was also appreciated that we used the high speed rail, since it saved us a lot of time (traffic into Taipei was intense). Highly recommended!
Despite the pending arrival of typhoon Mitag, we had a lovely sunny day with Phoebe (our guide) who took care of us - attentive to our needs and a good communicator. The 12 plus hour day passed quickly with high speed train, car, gondola and boat rides, visit to a market and a nice lunch filling our time - ending with a visit to the Wenwu temple (very nice visit). It was a lovely full day outside of Taipei. I hope our colleagues from Australia found their hot pot that evening! Good day, good value for $. Thank you Phoebe! Fred and Ani
Phoebe Lin is a fun and very informative guide. She is very engaging and is a really great representation on how beautiful the people of Taiwna is. She made sure that we experience the sight, taste, and scent of Taiwan. The High Speed Railway was a pleasant ride. Our pick up with Mr. Wang our driver, was waiting early at Taichung. The crystal cabin gondola ride in Sun Moon Lake was magical. The aboriginal lunch was very delicious. Wenwu Temple is one of the most beautiful that I've been in. Street food especially the chicken wing filled with rice is so delicious! The fruits are salivating. Phoebe really made sure that we are able to try all the amazing food. She even got us the tea and mushroom egg. Yum. Phoebe Lin is one of he best guides we've had even assisting us to be able to go to Taipei 101 after the tour when we got back in Taipei. So, when you book this tour request for Phoebe Lin :)
The tour is enough to see all the sightseeing landmarks around the lake.My guide Steven was very experienced and knows a lot about the historical times about it.Highly recommend !
