Shimba Hills er en tropisk regnskov med forskellige typer dyr, fugle, flora og fauna. For naturelskere er det et besøg værd. Shimbas højdepunkter er kendetegnet ved et besøg ved de berømte sheldrick-vandfald, hvor man kan tage et brusebad. Frokost serveres på Green Lodge med et landskab ved siden af ingen.

Overall it was a wonderful day out. Unfortunately, our ‘guide’ was more of a driver who barely said anything and was not personable. Was hoping for someone more knowledgeable and outgoing instead of shy and quiet. Borderline three stars … Saw plenty of animals but not as many as we hoped. It’s clear that the conservation area has lost a lot of animals to poaching. Some zebra and a few other species of antelope but that’s about it. Elephants are very shy and few and you are lucky to see any more species. Lunch was nice and so was hike to the falls.

Did this trip in 2019, but not given the option to select that date! If you are fit and healthy the trip/walk to the waterfall is wonderful! On this trip we will not be going because my travelling partner has a knee problem! It is not for the faint hearted and certainly stirs the muscles.

The nature walk to the Sheldrick Falls is about 2.3 km which is a wonderful experience for the nature lovers however one needs to be physically fit due to the hilly landscape. We were so happy with the whole trip. Everything was seamless from the booking, actual safari and the guide provide had vast knowledge of the whole environment.
